The Moon
Palely shines his damp light,
His watery eyes filled to the brim
With grief, and loneliness.
Wishing for light,
Afraid that the empty blackness
Should swallow him up.
Praying for freedom,
Afraid that he is trapped
In his orbit and
Dreaming
That he were someone else.
Once in a blue moon
He changes his countenance
And tries to hide in the turquoise blackness.
He wishes he were full
