Pluck the feathers off my wings,

but I will still soar through the sky.

Have you ever felt what it's like

To drown from someone's words of hate?

To breath in nothing but poison

But is still expected to live?

Have you ever wondered what it

Would be like to be unburdened?

To live on without the shackles

That could only hinder your step?

Do you believe in destiny

That is written across the stars?

That those below cannot rise up?

How they are all forever chained?

Have you ever felt oh-so-weak?

Afraid to make another step

That can lead into victory?

Afraid to make a change at all?

It's a difficult transition,

And not everyone is ready

To take a step away from this,

And I do hope you understand,

Have you ever felt so tired

To try to keep yourself awake?

To not feel the heaviness that

Is slowly eating you away?

Have you ever thought of wanting

To just give up on this journey?

To finally let your feet rest,

Be stranded somewhere in between?

Do you believe in itting

To whatever fate has in store?

To make no such effort at all

Even when you're given the chance?

Have you felt like you are nothing

Against the cosmos? Against stars?

That you are nothing but the dust,

Easily swept by stagnation?

It's a difficult decision

To fight against the knowing stars,

Yet I continue to hope for

The time where I can make a change,

That there will come the time wherein

I can rise above the ocean

That has been pulling me below

Into the deepest known abyss,

I know that there will come a time

For me to rise, to fly, ascend,

I know I will be this dreamer

That I have always dreamt to be,

I will fly,

             I will soar,

                     I will ascend,

I will rise!
