A foxes' eye - swift with elegance. It's skulking underneath bramble bushes. Prickly and rough. Blackberries that fell to the ground - mother nature decided she wants the earth back.
It saw a mouse. A tail so delicate. Flimsy like a spider web. Digging in the ground , it found a worm. A small one - maybe a baby , finding its way in the world.
Nibbling ; licking its tongue. It's all gone. The mouse starts delving again. A fox, unknown to its view. Paws creeping. Wind through its fur, caught on some thrones.
A branch snaps under its paws - crack
The mouse ran off. Scattered. Quicker, hypervigilant ; scared of its own shadow.
The moon no longer hides.
Clouds drifting away.
A foxes' call - the screams of the night.
