Hi, aloha, hola, konnichiwa, uhh, damn I don't know anymore languages.

So uhh... It's been a while- that's uh- that's my fault. I will be the first to it that's on me-

But I haven't just been sitting on my ass cursing at games and crying at anime I've been working, on a lot but mostly school, and trying to work when I have the time and inspiration. Which wasn't often tbh, uh until recently actually!

I've gotten a lot of work done, probably more then I have with any other story I've worked on, including the mistake that "Broken Windows" was (more on that later).

So first off Zaxi is permeantly renamed to "Zarai" becuase Zaxi felt too futuristic for the directon i ended up taking.

So originally it was gonna be a super futuristic dystopian cyberpunk about two friends escaping, while also trying to deal with an old friend who was causing trouble around the city. Uh that story really tell through and I loved that concept and I may even return to it one day, I just Love what it turned into, so so much more. I wasn't happy working on this version of the story.

So i scrapped the whole thing and I started something new. It turned into a post apocalyptic dystopian, and spoiler alert the dystopian thing is all that stuck through this from start to end. This was gonna be a sort of meta commentary on writers/art/any sort of creative block. I hated this. I thought I loved it. But that was my rose tinted glasses. Looking back on it, I don't like where it was going. And I'm not gonna walk you through all of it it wasn't any good I don't like it.

Now Zarai is a 18th century steampunk dystopian about the two main protagonist learning about the wolrd, about themselves, about the people in it, and freeing a small group of freedom fighters. Over the course of the story the characters will learn what they're good at and how to exploit it to tilt the odds in their favor, but are they gonna succeed? I mean how do you defeat a seemingly untouchable oppennet, with eyes and ears everywhere. What do you do when everyone whos ever been caught speaking out has been turned into a husk. I don't have that answer i mean I do but I'm not gonna tell you you'll have to wait and read it once it's ready.

Being a part of this community, even distantly, has been so much fun. You all are so ive and it makes me really happy. I've been urged by my friends to move away from Amino but I don't wanna lose this community. I've never found people so ive of my ion, maybe it's because you're all ionate about this too and get it. Whatever it is, I don't want to lose it.

I don't think staying here is the best decision, there's bigger communities that could get me more attention. But I do think staying here is the right decision, for me. And the reason I say that is being here makes me happy, and I can't say that about a lot of things these days, especially with that uh, that virus going around. You know the one.

I guess all I have left to say is,

I'll keep you updated. And I'll be around, lurking like usual but here.
