Unrelated to the poem does anyone know why the formatting gets all weird when its centered? Idk if it's just my device or not.

The world is a cruel place,

It takes, and it takes, until nothing is left.

It leaves us with nothing,

Broken and alone.

This world is a cruel place,

It kept trying to hurt me.

I guess it finally saw you,

The thing I'd hoped it'd never see.

It's efforts had been in vain,

Because it was after the wrong thing.

It finally figured it out,

It can have all those things,

But only you would hurt to lose.

Now it's sent someone, to try and take you,

The one thing that makes this life,

A life that's worth living.

Please, don't go.
