I'm already filled with it to begin with!

I'm convinced that there's no other way

But to succumb into the darkness,

For 'tis the world that bathes from the blood

Of those who are weak and idyllic,

It was the only way to survive,

To become one with the shadows and

For me to stray away from the light;

To be that lost and abandoned boy,

But in abandonment did I find

The darkness of which I was yearning,

'Tis much darker than a moonless night,

More dangerous than I thought it was,

To stay with the fading light is not

The wisest choice in this old chess game,

For in this world of monsters galore,

All battles are but a commonplace,

I believe I need to be stronger

Than all of those who are against me,

So judge me not as I took side with

What the whole world considered evil,

I let the shadows become my veins,

Let them envelope my blood and soul,

I welcome every inch of the night

And to let them taint my once-pure heart,

But trust me when I say in this poem

That the darkness sheltered this frail boy,

That he had found his way home into

The loving arms of the black shadows,

Although, I have yet to understand

My own feelings when I hear them scream,

I've yet to understand why I felt so

Excited to see fear in their eyes,

You will not believe when I say that

It feels so unbelievably right

To welcome the darkness within me,

To let it consume my mind and all,

But you, the denier of my words,

Claim how this is all part of my plan,

That I act as if I needed the

Darkness to ensure my own being,
