by Laura Imai Messina

Genre: contemporary and literary fiction

This is one book I'm still not ready for, it's originally a Japanese novel written around the time of tsunamis hitting the country causing a lot of life loss. Its about a telephone that's disconnected and carries voices into the wind, many people come from all around the country to leave a message to the ones they have lost assuming it'll reach them through the wind, irrespective of that, it gives some satisfaction some relief having done so. I'm keeping this to read when I'm in grieving and with God's grace right now I'm having the time of my life.

Demian by Herman Hesse

Genre: philosophical and psyclogical fiction

A very interesting read. Though it might be a little controversial for some as few topics question the Christian beliefs (the moral anecdotes from the bible) but it's very well written in a way it makes you engaged and think deeply about the various decisions you make in life in different circumstances.

A book that I own :

Six of crows by Leigh Bardugo, my favourite investment ;)

Genre: young adult, heist fiction

OBSESSED IS AN UNDERSTATEMENT. I will never be in love with a book couple more than I'm in with kanej; the purity, the unwavering trust, the confidence, my God! Amazing plot, quite thrilling, loved the subtle romance, characters were written terrifically well and I loved the different dynamics they had with each other.

Inspired by true story:

A river died of thirst by Mahmood Darwish

Genre: poetry and political literature

It's a compilation of heart wrenching and hopeful poems written by a Palestinian from experience. Deserves more recognition and praise. I can't put into words what I feel about it but definitely a must read.

Fourth wing by Rebecca Yarros

Genre: fantasy and romance

This actually made me want to have a dragon, but no not really because with great power comes great responsibility lol. A very thrilling adventurous read, I cried, got stressed, annoyed, giggled with butterflies in my stomach, felt proud and a lot more but it did lack a bit of humour. Definitely enjoyable (kinda felt proud after I finished reading it cause it's like 618 pages which is alot for a person who had been having difficulty mainting focus and attention to any thing in particular but now gladly I'm over my reading block and am swiftly completing series back to back! :D )

side note:

After reading a number of books from murder mystery, dystopia and psyclogical genres I was a bit depressed and bored since I couldn't find any good books in comparison to what I already read or they just couldn't pique my interest sO I kind of might have went to the fantasy recommendations of booktube and I read 'The Fourth Wing' and I was MIND BLOWN, totally worth the hype! It's so good! And then I ed pjo like I read some of Percy Jackson books in 7th-8th grade but I decided to re-read it and I don't why but probably one of the best decisions of my life. I highly recommend anyone going through this blog to read the Percy Jackson series, I have completed the first five books and am currently on my way to read the three from heroes of olympus, hit me up if you read these!
