Graveyard of life

It's sucking the life out of people,

This outrageous desire to rule over the world by one!

All power seems concentrated...

And I don't believe it truly is.

They have all just succumbed to a more powerful force

An individual one,

They have all given in to an individual

Instead of coming together against it.

Coming together to put a halt to the havoc one has created and continues to do so.

They have turned a blind eye to loss of life.

To a massacre so mass scale it's impossible to ignore

For every human that's still human

Do they not see the suffering of people the same as them, irrespective of conditions they survive in

Are they not the same flesh and bones?

Do they not have the same relation with their loved ones?

That of longing, sacrifice and grief;

If met with the same mishap.

To mourn over everyday until no one's left to know there once was a family with the biggest orchard of lemon trees, those days of sunny afternoons swinging by the branches in the shade of trees

Children running around playing in glee

Now, there's no sign of life...

Only children running around to fetch a little food for the family,

And are shot down before the aid even reaches..

Such is the condition of the land of olive trees.

It has become a graveyard of life

Every life we failed to protect

Every life that died for a cause as simple as freedom

Freedom— oh how many lives it has taken over the centuries!

Yet as desirable as ever,

For man was born free.
