“Yes ma’am but there’s a floor of power required to become one id say around Seinor magic knight level, frankly I’m surprised these two were able to survive the process without going mad” Noir said with Pyre and North silently outraging at their cellmate but not wanting interrupt the Wizard Queen.

“Hmmm that’s still not great, according to North’s report he beat a shining general and he was a junior magic knight before he was captured” she stated calculating what she would do next when suddenly there was a knock on the door and there walked in Captain Zodiac who moved across the room and hugged Pyre and North.

“Boys… you’re ok?” He asked and the duo looked shocked but nodded “……good, you little shits what the hell were you doing worrying me and the others like that” he growled grabbing both of them by an ear before nodding to Queen Rosa “my lady how have you been” he’d ask letting go of his subordinates and saluting. The Wizard Queen rolling her eyes before turning back to Noir who had something to say.

“Ma’am there is a slight bright side to this” he’d stated determination in his eyes “they have only one person able to do the process and this process takes nearly six months until she’s able to start on another operation like what they did to North and Pyre she is using some kind of runes to do so it’s not a fast process is what I’m trying to say” he’d state and the Wizard Queen took this news in silence before turning to the Royal.

“Zodiac I’m calling a captain’s meeting for tonight to discuss this further come this time you’ll want to” the Queen stated as the captain sighed.

“Great can my squad and I go now?” Zodiac asked he asked done with this conversation with the Wizard Queen.

“Yes your free to go, but that boy Noir stays with me” she stated pointing to the prince who looked nervous at the prospect.

“But wait Noir-“Chris started before the black haired royal put his hand out to stop him.

“Don’t worry I understand, if it were my kingdom I would be as or even more skeptical this won’t be the last time you see me you two, get stronger and let’s take back my kingdom from those jerks” he said putting a fist out a strained smile on his face as the other two hardened their resolve and put their fists out too and calling out in unison.

”YOU’RE ALIVE!!!!!” Macon and Pia yelled running over to give them a bear hug

“Welcome back” Rina called keeping her distance but smiling

“Holy crap look at them” Obi exclaimed before suddenly Astro rushed past everyone and went to check on the boys looking for any major injuries looking guilty before shaking his head and ruffling both of their heads.

“Welcome back you two….” He said forcing a smile “you both need to shower” he muttered turning his head before pushing them towards everyone. Who gave the pair a group hug, Pyre did his best to hide his tears of joy and relief but North was almost as teary as Macon who was practically a mess.

The duo came down later that day showered and in comfortable clothing “ughhhh do not ever move me from this spot or I’m going to hurt someone” Chris cried out as he laid down on the couch.

“The captain said we’re heading out in a few days for training North I don’t think your demands are going to be met” Pyre remarked sitting down trying not to show his relief in the comfort of the chair. “But I’m sure until then we can just sit here” he said basically melting into the chair until he saw his sister walk in. The red haired male got up and went to hug her “hey…. Sis I missed you” he stated quietly before he heard giggling “Moss I’m being sincere here don’t ruin this” he’d state evenly.

“No it’s not that, Christopher fell asleep again” she stated and when pyre turned back Chris looked like he just dropped out of the sky in a crazy position. Moss smiled and headed over and sat down next to Chris who moved in his sleep and put his head in her lap.

“I don’t care how close we are or if he’s asleep, if he doesn’t move back right now I’m going to torch him” Pyre remarked ready to smack Chris before his sister tried her best to laugh without waking North.

“I don’t mind come on Kaji sit down let’s catch up” Shed state patting the pillow beside her. Pyre reluctantly agreed before they started talking the red haired mage recounting the times he and Chris were forced to fight in the “test arena” for the entertainment of the diamond kingdom before getting interrupted.

“Aren’t you going to introduce us? master Kaiji” a miniature bunny demon asked appearing from a mini ball of fire and so did his second demon

“Ahh yes these two, Sister meet Tepus and Testus they are the devils bonded to my soul” he stated a distant look on his face.

“Ooo a sister hEllo it’s nice to meet a lovely lady all the women in diamond kingdom were brutes it’s a nice change to see a fair maiden” Tepus said moving closer to Moss.

“Touch her and you burn, rabbit” Pyre growled glaring at his familiar.

“Fine fine I’m keeping my distance, so protective” the devil chuckled. Moss smiled she’d heard that devils were monsters essentially wanting to destroy the world but these two looked nice.

“What about Chris…. You said a spirit was bonded to him?” Moss asked looking down on Chris she had been absently braiding bits of his hair.

“Ya Skade… she’s pretty shy always napping in that rat nest on North’s head, I haven’t got to see her too much but if she has to be strong if she gave Chris the ability to beat a shining general” he exclaimed looking down on the ice mage. Suddenly there was a crash from upstairs

“Macon dry off when you get out of the shower I nearly broke my neck” Obi roared as the duo started brawling creating more noise waking the sleeping ice mage. Chris woke up groggy from his “nap” with half his hair being braided.

“Huh?” He’d asked looking around not even noticing he was just resting in the lap of Moss before his eyes went wide “oh shoot” he said shooting up the stairs

“what’d you forget?” Moss asked before Chris looked back smirking

“Oh nothing I just haven’t had a fight that I wasn’t risking my life in for forever” he stated before jumping down the hall before Astro or Rina broke up the brawl.
