Ok, so I'm in a weird mood, so I wrote a weird story.

I have been in a funk lately, to selfconcious to really write anything. Then today out of nowhere I was like meh. Imma write for me, if no one likes it? Not my problem ^^

So here is my weird story, that took a twist not even I saw coming haha

It was a beautiful day, the wind was just enough to keep me cool, though it blew my long, black hair into my face. Brushing it from my eyes, It took a peek up, into the brightly colored leaves, looking for the source of the mellody I heard. A red and blue bird, that I had no name for, sat in a lower branch, cooing as if to mock me. Smiling, I poorly imitated the coo before continuing on my way.

A branch snapped and a thump followed, forcing me to look back. At first I couldn't see what made the noise, but a flutter of blue got my attention. How does a bird fall from its tree? As I thought this, a blur of pale tan shot from the foliage, once occupied by the fowl, landing on the screeching bird with grace and raw power.

Turning its golden, predator eyes to me, a much larger meal, it growled. A warning that I'm about to take the place of the small creature between its paws. The bird screamed and wiggled, fighting for freedom as the cat decided what it wants more. Another low rumble from the beast told me all I needed.

In response to the threat, I bared my sharp teeth, the canines long and pointed. A far more deadly growl reverberated from my chest, silencing every sound in the forest. Every creature held its breath, less it be known to the hell that was unleashed. Another deeper warning emanated from me, making the cougar back up a step, then another. The fur on its hackles were raised and its ears pinned back, the not as brave now, feline hissed a final warning.

Taking it as a challenge I moved forward, ascending on MY soon to be lunch. Allowing my inner wolf to come forth, I pounced on the great lion, biting its throat with my razor sharp teeth, piercing the strong muscles underneath.

Unfortunately for me, I had not been aware to the fact, she was not alone. Out of the green bushes came three of her offspring. They were still considered kittens, but they were definitely more young adults. About three quarters the size of the meal in my teeth, and very angry, they engaged with me without a second thought.

The piercing pain, brought on by the little shit's bite on my right calf, elicits a sharp cry from my bloody lips, my teeth slipping from the grip I had. I now had four pissed off Cougars, but one very happy bird, having a staring contest with me. Our growls all mingled together like a morbid waltz. Red and gold leaves sprinkled down around us as the trees shivered with fear.

Not about to go down without one hell of a fight, I snarled at the mother as I took a side step towards her closest kitten. Her eyes dart from me, to her baby, then back as quickly as a heartbeat. She hissed once more as she prepared to jump, her sinuous muscles tightly wound. Low to the ground, her tail twitched with anxiety.

From behind me, another snarl made itself known. Can I not get a break? How many of these bastards are there? Not turning my attention from the iminate threat the cougar presented, I listened carefully to the growls behind me. They weren't the same, they didn't sound feline at all. That's when I knew the battle was over.

A smile smeared across my ruby lips as I once again let out my thunderous growl, letting her know as well. As my hunger rained down on the mother, the pack who had found me, launched an attack on the offsprings. Blood tinged the air, misted the grass, making it all a blurry slippery wonderland.

I don't recall where the pack came from or how they found me. But they always do.
