Introduction
Hello, my name is ChristianGuy (not the most creative name, I know), since this is a book amino, I would like to talk about my favorite book, the Bible. Please note that I'm not someone who will threaten you to believe what I believe, I will read and explain what is said in the Bible and you, the reader of this blog post, will see whether or not you can apply this to your life and whether or not you accept what's written to be true.

1. Haughty Eyes
To have haughty eyes means to be arrogant and a scorn look at those who you regard as inferior to you, for example, a Christian can become arrogant and have haughty eyes when he or she thinks of other people as inferior because they have more knowledge on the Bible and on God.
This is the same sin that led to Satan's fall from Heaven, he looked himself as above God and thus he payed the price. None of us are immune to pride, and we should that we're only saved because of what Jesus did for us, and we should never look down on those who we consider as new cheistians or lesser Christians.
Luke 18:9-14: He also told this parable to some who trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and treated others with contempt: “Two men went up into the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. The Pharisee, standing by himself, prayed[a] thus: ‘God, I thank you that I am not like other men, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even like this tax collector. I fast twice a week; I give tithes of all that I get.’ But the tax collector, standing far off, would not even lift up his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, ‘God, be merciful to me, a sinner!’ I tell you, this man went down to his house justified, rather than the other. For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but the one who humbles himself will be exalted.”
2. A lying Tounge
Lying is displeasing to God because Jesus is the way, the truth and the life and we are to be followers of Christ, we are supposed to express truth. In the early church, Ananias and Sapphira lied regarding a donation in order to make themselves look more generous than they really were. Peter’s rebuke is stern: “Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit?” God’s judgment was sterner: the couple died as a result of their sin of lying.
That being said, there are instances where lying produced a favourable result and benefitted the people of God. In the book of Joshua, Rahab lied to the people of Jericho about the whereabouts of the Hebrew spies in order to protect them, she was hiding them in her house. This action caused God to spare Rahab from the wrath je brought to Jerchio.
is important to note, however, that God never condones these lies. Despite the positive outcome of these lies, the Bible nowhere praises the lies themselves. God approved of Rahab hiding the spies, but not lying about it. The Bible nowhere states that there are instances where lying is the right thing to do. At the same time, the Bible does not declare that there is no possible instance in which lying is an acceptable option. God approved of Rahab hiding the spies, but not lying about it.
A similar event occurred when the Nazis were around, the story of Corrie Ten Boom. Corrie Ten Boom is hiding Jews in her home to protect them from the Nazis. Nazi soldiers come to her home and ask her if she knows where any Jews are hiding. What is she to do? Should she tell the truth and allow the Nazis to capture the Jews she was trying to protect? Or, should she lie and deny that she knows anything about them?
In such an instance, lying would be the lesser of two evils. Regardless, such instances are extremely rare in these current times. Now another type of Lie people attempt to justify are White lies.
The reasoning is that these lies don't hurt anybody and the result ends up good. However, the ends don't justify the means, we should not use the Devil's way to produce favourable results. Also, who defines the “good” that results from the lie? A salesman telling white lies may sell his product—a “good” thing for him—but what about the customer who was taken advantage of?
Telling a white lie to be “tactful” or to spare someone’s feelings is also a foolish thing to do. A person who consistently lies to make people feel good will eventually be seen for what he is: a liar. Those who traffic in white lies will damage their credibility. Little white lies are often told to preserve the peace, as if telling the truth would in some way destroy peace. Yet the Bible presents truth and peace as existing together: “Love truth and peace” (Zechariah 8:19). Tellers of white lies believe they are speaking lies out of “love”; however, the Bible tells us to speak “the truth in love” (Ephesians 4:15).
White lies have a way of propagating themselves. Telling more lies to cover up the original lie is standard procedure, and the lies get progressively less “white.” Trying to what lies were told to what person also complicates relationships and makes further lying even more likely. Sometimes telling the truth is not easy; in fact, it can be downright unpleasant. But we are called to be truth-tellers. Being truthful is precious to God (Proverbs 12:22); it demonstrates the fear of Lord. Furthermore, to tell the truth is not a suggestion, it is a command (Psalm 15:2; Zechariah 8:16; Ephesians 4:25). Being truthful flies in the face of Satan, the “father of lies” Being truthful honors the Lord, who is the “God of truth”
3. Hands that shed innocent blood
This of course refers to murder, which everybody knows it's morally wrong and unrighteous. Most of us may have not stabbed somebody in the back or shoot people but there's another sin that's comparable to murder, a feeling of deep hatred against another person.
1 John 3:15: "Everyone who hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him."
When we harbor hatred in our hearts for another, we have committed the sin of murder in God’s eyes. The disdain towards another person never has to be demonstrated outwardly because God looks upon the heart for the truth
Matthew 5:21-24: “You have heard that it was said to those of old, ‘You shall not murder; and whoever murders will be liable to judgment.’ But I say to you that everyone who is angry with his brother will be liable to judgment; whoever insults his brother will be liable to the council; and whoever says, ‘You fool!’ will be liable to the hell of fire. So if you are offering your gift at the altar and there that your brother has something against you, leave your gift there before the altar and go. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift."
4 and 5. A heart that devises evil schemes and feet that are quick to rush into evil
This is when we display no resistance to sin, Eve displayed no resistance when the snake tempted her to eat the forbidden fruit. This can also apply to our modern day life, we can be quick to do things like drunkenness, lust, porn (which I'm well aware is hard to overcome, I myself am struggling against it, I'll make a series of posts discussing it soon once I've sorted it out), etc.
So we should evaluate and think twice before we immediately sin, and think about it's consequences. If you're thinking of going for an alcohol, it's fine as long as you don't get drunk, but think of the consequences of what will happen if you get drunk, try to view abstaining from drunkenness as the happier option and consider the spiritual consequence of Sin.
6. False witness who pours out lies
This is a similar sin to number 2, this form of lying is given special mention as it could send an innocent person to jail as an instance.
7. A man who stirs up dissension among brothers
This is essentially referring to people who purposefully start up dramas or fights within a group for entertainment, fights are inevitable among groups but intentionally stirring up conflict gives room for sinning, as anger can increase your chances to sin, which is why God is displeased with this sort of behaviour. Jesus complimented and praised peacemakers, saying they'll receive great blessings.
Matthew 5:9: "Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God."
Conclusion
One thing that should be said is that, we are not saved by our works. We're only saved by the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, who sacrificed himself to save us. It's inevitable that we all sin, for only Jesus was perfect and sinless. And it's even possible that we have ended up committing these 7 sins, especially lying.
So what then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may be abound? God forbid. desire to continue in sin shows a misunderstanding of this abundant grace and a contempt for Jesus' sacrifice. This does mean we should be sinless, that's impossible but it means that sin is no longer our master, the Christian life is marked by a continuous struggle against sin. In Romans 7, Paul acknowledges this struggle but points to the victory available in Christ. The “victory” is not to sin that grace may abound, but to overcome sin by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Lastly, I want to clarify that my aim is not to shove my belief down your throat, I'm not forcing you to believe. I'm sharing what the Gospel and Bible is, and in turn, you can ponder and see whether or not you believe this and want to apply this in your life. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to ask.
Peace :v:
