Summer Sit Back week 4

With last week being ruined plans we’ve got the prompt of this week being PUDDLE JUMPING! Get your creative minds flowing and try out this awesome prompt for the week.

Yup that’s right folks our new curators Kiba and Nix are finally official curators and their traning wheels have been released. Sadly Pucci didn’t make it past the tests and therefore was demoted. We will miss him :sparkling_heart:

1. Start with your base of head and shoulders

2. Now start the bangs ! They curve down towards the center and have little cuts in them

3.Now time for her strands of hair on her sides ! Those curve in a bit aswell

4. And the buns come up next , to start I recommend drawing circles near the side of her head

5. Second part of the buns is filling the circles in with lines to make strands

6. Now put loose pieces of hair all around her buns ! They come out from the center

7. Don’t forget the top of her head and her ears !!

8. Also her cat like appearance !! (( pointy teeth and sharp pupils ))

And now you’ve got a Toga !!

Tips for character creation

Hey there guys!! :revolving_hearts:

Today we'll be discussing a problem some people face while creating Ocs:

Quirks.

Whether it be because it's difficult coming up with an idea for a quirk, making sure it's balanced, or figuring out a name for it, we've all been stumped one way or another. This may help you regarding quirks!

Coming up with a quirk

Some peeps find this part to be the most difficult, but it's also really fun and rewarding when you finally have an idea you like! Although, if you tend to struggle with quirk creation, start with something basic and work your way up!

For example, let's break down Uraraka's quirk. At first glance, it can be mistaken as levitation or making objects float. Add on to that basic concept, and you get her finger pads, zero gravity, and the weight limit of what she's able to float until she gets sick.

Still nothing? Think of something you like! ionate about flowers? Base a quirk around them!

Let's start with something simple, like healing! Your character could be able to heal others by using the pollen dust from a flower growing on them, or have healing vines that need to come into in order to heal.

Just set your mind to it, and eventually you'll find something you like!

Creating quirk flaws

This is a HUGE part of quirks that must not be forgotten! As Bakugou once said, quirks are like muscles, they have their limits.

(Not the exact quote, but it's along those lines)

And just like muscles, the more exercise on a quirk the more defined the quirk becomes.

Now keep in mind how old your character is when you create flaws!

A child with a quirk is not going to come out the womb and already be a master with their quirk. People learn with experience! Apply the same logic to quirks, the older they are, the more control over their quirk they may have!

It may be possible to have lots of experience with their quirk at a young age if they began training hard early on in their life, but how exhausting and stressful that would be on a child!

One more thing to about quirks...!

Don't :clap: get :clap: discouraged :clap: if :clap: a :clap: quirk :clap: already :clap: exists!

I have seen this too often, people completely dropping an idea due to seeing someone else have something even remotely similar. It's fine! So long as you aren't copy pasting the quirk as a whole, there's nothing wrong with having similarities!

Take Kirishima and Tetsutetsu for example. Both have a hardening ability, except one is rock and the other is steel!

Quirks have been ed down for generations, and there's well over billions of people on earth. There's bound to be another quirk with say wings or cat like abilities, and just because it's somewhat alike doesn't mean they're copying each other!
