This guy was one of my rescues! He was housed in a tank with one male (who was believed to be a female) and one female, and was the biggest bully of the tank. So I put him in my divided 20 gal.

I got him early December 2018 from a friend who had him in bad conditions. He was said to be in that situation for 2+ years.

He was extremely photogenic, and I loved that! Before I got him, I had been wanting specifically a blue VT pretty badly. So I guess I got pretty lucky when he came along!

He turned into one heck of a warrior whenever he saw his reflection or another betta. He was probably my second most aggressive male, behind the angry, angry Mootang of course!

»» Name ««

He was named after a dragon in my favorite game, Skyrim! I chose to name him Sahrotaar since he looked quite similar to the dragon! The name means both “Mighty Servant” and “Phantom Word Servant” in the Dragon Language.

»» Appearance ««

Sahrotaar was mostly blue with a black head. Though, he does have some green and purple/red highlights. In some lightings, you could really see his fins turn green or purple.

His ventral fins were red with white tips.
