Unfortunately, Astrid Crossed the Rainbow Bridge Today.

I had a feeling this one was coming soon. The past couple months she had just been fading away. Her eyesight went away due to cataracts and soon after that, she pretty much became lifeless and spent most of her days resting. Recently, she began to lay at the bottom of tank with heavy breathing, so I decided it was time to put her down and save her from suffering any longer.

Astrid was my first female betta. She wasn’t quite the betta I was searching for that day, but I’m so glad I ended up bringing her home anyway. She was such a joy to have, I’ll miss this little girl‘s sassy sweetness and adorable faces.

Astrid, I hope fish heaven treats you well and I pray that we’ll be able to meet again someday. Thank you so much for the great memories.
