Hi! This will be my first time owning fish period. I have had my eye on a betta fish for a long time and I was wondering if I could try and do a live planted 10 gallon tank? Advice is highly needed for this though, especially since I wanna do it as a first time fish keeper. Thank you in advance! :)

I highly recommend just falling down the rabbit hole via YouTube, its really the best way to prepare. Start by searching for "beginner aquarium plants" and stuff like that, there's plenty of great channels now that even specialize in helping beginners like kg tropicals, but they don't have a lot of stuff specifically on plants, the general information especially on bettas is really helpful

Welcome! If you have any specific questions feel free to ask, although i am not an expert by any means haha i have found some success with trial and error

Ive had rapid success with these bulb plants i attached pics of and would recommend them if you research their basic care and if you can find a source for them (mine came with some growth already on them so i didn't have to worry about duds)

I've had them for about two weeks and they've already doubled in size with the root tabs that were sold along with them to me. They're apparently seasonal but so far they've been the most exciting plants ive tried growing
