The Academy Awards, popularly known as the Oscars, are specialty awards given each year for artistic and technical achievements in the film industry. Covering everything from Hollywood blockbusters, to animated features and foreign films, they are regarded as some of the most famous and prestigious awards in all of the entertainment industry.

This month, in honor of this real-life event, we are inviting you to take part in our own version and celebrate your favorite films with an AOT twist! Prizes will be awarded for a variety of categories, both individual and collaborative, so don't hesitate to team up with friends. Read on for full details.

Suggested Prompts

Just like the Academy Awards themselves, for this event we are granting you the freedom to interpret the theme however you wish! So long as your entry involves Attack on Titan and relates to films or the film industry, you are eligible to receive a nomination. So get those creative juices flowing and show us your best work!

• Recreate a classic movie poster

• Redraw a famous movie scene

• Write an actor AU story

• Cosplay a movie crossover

• Create an original AOT script and/or storyboard

:black_small_square: Sumbitted works must be AOT related and involve a topic related to movies or the film industry

Awards Categories

Beginning on February 21st, the 'Academy' (that's all of you!) will be presented with final nominees selected by the mod team for each awards category from all the entries received. Then, the entire community will be invited to participate in The Oscars Voting to determine the final outcome of this incredible competition. All results will be kept secret until the big reveal on Oscars Night, February 27th.

The awards categories correspond to the provided hashtags above, including:

There will also be 2 additional awards given for the best overall entries from all submissions regardless of category, one for content featuring canon characters only and one for OCs.

Important Dates

All submissions must be completed no later that February 20th at 10pm EST in order to be considered for a nomination.
