Agents of the Four Seasons: Dance of Spring gets Anime

Wit Studio announced that it will produce a television anime adaptation of Kana Akatsuki's Agents of the Four Seasons: Dance of Spring novel series. An announcement video was released.

Ken Yamamoto is directing the series at Wit Studio. Kazuhiro Furuhashi is the animation adviser. Ayumu Hisao is overseeing the series scripts, and Namiko Torii is the character designer.

Yen Press describes the first volume of Agents of the Four Seasons: Dance of Spring:

   Once upon a time, there was Winter.

   Winter was once the only season in the world-but such an existence was too lonely to bear, and so it created Spring to love. Before long, the earth wished for more time to rest in the cycle, and Summer and Autumn were born. The ones who carry the cycle are called the Agents of the Four Seasons. Hinagiku, the Agent of Spring, disappeared from this land ten years ago, taking the season of spring with her. Now, after incredible hardship, she has returned to restore the cycle to its proper state-and, as in the myth ed down since the dawn of time, she sends her love to Winter.

Tenkaichi: The Greatest Warrior Under the Rising Sun gets Anime

The official X for artist Kyōtarō Azuma and author Yōsuke Nakamaru's Tenkaichi: The Greatest Warrior Under the Rising Sun manga announced that the manga is receiving a television anime.

Kodansha's K MANGA service describes the story:

   This is not history as we know it. The year is 1600. Ten years have ed since Oda Nobunaga unified the whole of Japan. When Nobunaga realizes he is nearing the end of his life, he announces that he will hand over the reins of power to whoever brings him the strongest warrior. The generals, whose dreams of conquering the country had been crushed, put up their own strongest warriors and aim to become the king of the country! The first match is peerless spear wielder Honda Tadakatsu (sponsored by Tokugawa Ieyasu) vs. evolving prodigy Miyamoto Musashi (sponsored by Chosokabe Motochika)!!

A Witch's Life in Mongol gets Anime

TV Asahi announced that Tomato Soup's A Witch's Life in Mongol manga is inspiring a television anime adaptation from Science SARU. The anime's English title will be Jaadugar: A Witch in Mongolia. An announcement video was released.

Tomato Soup drew an illustration featuring Sitara (Fatima) and Töregene to celebrate the announcement.

Tomato Soup also provided a comment on the anime adaptation:

   “Over 10 years ago, long before I began drawing A Witch's Life in Mongol, I was fascinated by the history of the Mongolian Empire. I often thought, 'I wish there were an anime like this.' That thought led me to daydream: If such an anime existed, what kind of characters would appear? What sort of story would unfold?”

Yen Press describes the manga:

   The time: the thirteenth century. The place: Yeke Mongol Ulus, the greatest empire the world has ever known. The woman: Fatima, hailing from Persia, where medical technique and scientific knowledge have been perfected beyond all precedent. Fatima's desire for a stage where she can put her knowledge to work has brought her to the palace of the Mongols, where she falls under the wing of Töregene, the sixth wife of Ögedei, the second Great Khan—a mighty woman with complicated feelings about the direction of the empire. These two women are the axel upon which the politics of the palace, and soon the very world, will turn…

Mistress Kanan is Devilishly Easy gets Anime

The official website for the 2026 television anime of nonco's Mistress Kanan is Devilishly Easy manga opened to announce the anime with a teaser visual and it announced that Studio KAI is animating the production.

The manga centers on Kanan, a demoness who has infiltrated human society as a high schooler to partake of delicious souls. She has her eyes set on one particular high school boy, but before she even gets a chance to do anything about it, she has already become his girlfriend. For Kanan, who has never been in love before, the relationship is filled with nothing but new experiences.

JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Part 7: Steel Ball Run gets Anime

The "JOJODAY" fan event for the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure anime based on Hirohiko Araki's manga announced that Araki's JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Part 7: Steel Ball Run manga will get an anime adaptation. An announcement video was released.

Viz Media describes the first volume:

   Riders from around the world gather in the Wild West for the race of the century! Johnny Joestar, a former jockey paralyzed from the waist down, comes to spectate, and momentarily regains the ability to walk while watching a duel fought by Gyro Zeppeli. Desperate to learn more about this power, Johnny s the race alongside Gyro and embarks on the most epic and bizarre race to ever cross the American frontier!

New Anime Film Daisy's Life

Entertainment news website Variety reported that Masaaki Yuasa will direct a new anime film titled Daisy's Life. The film will be a Japanese-French co-production at Yuasa's new studio ame pippin, and will release in 2026.

The anime film is based on Banana Yoshimoto's Hinagiku no Jinsei novel, which Gentosha published in April 2006. The novel features illustrations by Yoshitomo Nara.

Sachiko Tanaka is the screenwriter for the film as her first anime work. Original novel illustrator Nara is deg the characters. ASMIK Ace is producing the film. French studio Miyu Productions is co-producing the film. Producers from Miyu include Emmanuel-Alain Raynal and Pierre Baussaron.

Variety describes the story:

   “Daisy's Life” follows the emotional journey of a six-year-old girl named Daisy, who loses her mother in a tragic accident and struggles to adapt to life with her aunt. One sleepless night, she encounters a mysterious girl named Dahlia at her window. Their days together begin to transcend time and space, bringing a cosmic perspective to Daisy's modest life in a downtown yakisoba restaurant.

Date A Live gets New Anime

Kadokawa announced on Thursday that the Date A Live series is getting a new anime project. The staff shared a visual to tease the project.

The first season of the Date A Live television anime adaptation aired 12 episodes and premiered in 2013. The second season aired 10 episodes and premiered in 2014. The Gekijōban Date A Live: Mayuri Judgment anime film opened in Japan in August 2015. The third season premiered in January 2019 and aired for 12 episodes. The anime's fourth season premiered in April 2022. The Date A Live V television anime premiered in April 2024.
