For any that are new and/or unfamiliar, the AAA art forum is a series of weekly posts that the staff manages in an attempt to provide everyone from the community to interact and share their much valued views on certain topics! The topics are mostly art related, since that's what our community is about, though not necessarily about the act of drawing rather all sorts of aspects of just.. art in general! It's fun and interesting having a glimpse into the kind of such different people with different views!!!
I personally look forward to it a lot and being able to host one is just absolutely awesome!!!

Alrighty so the way that this art thing works is this : Some 30,000 years ago, some baboon head (according to good sir Darwin >:T, mind you though I'm tree!! )cousin of our generations old grandparents or maybe our generations old grandparents (depends) decided it's a good idea to smear something on the wall because self expression bi-
error.. system reboot
I'm sorry for the inconvenience. Ahem, soooo... Our ancestors, 30,000 years ago started this thing called art :D like that we've been doing that stuff since that long and so it has always been there with us connected to us in some way! And as we see, civilizations have changed, entire nations vanished and entire new cultures rose up and everyone found different ways of self expression! Which meaaaaans... YEAH YOU GUESSED IT RUG- *cough cough* ahem yeah you guessed it right! Ding ding! Art has also changed forms
Throughout different periods, various mainstream and non mainstream styles appeared, and my personal favorite has to be the age of the Old Masters! The pieces created during that time are absolutely phenomenal and the way they capture the essence of what they're meant to capture just really bamboozles me •^•. Art has played a huge part in making many figures like Leonardo Da Vinci prominent! Many many other famous names too! Entire civilizations had different styles that defined their culture which is very clear from their art. It is interesting the sort of things we could learn from all that! So I think it's definitely a must to teach about art history in school as a separate subject, just don't make us takes exams plz ; - ;. In order to understand ourselves today, we need to have a keen understanding of what we were like back then, and the easiest way is to understand the working behind art, what goes on in the mind of the artist and analyze the art of yore that way! That would certainly reveal some interesting possibilities, don't you think? Especially since there's no solid way to determine much about the oldies other than a few including art, I mean, cave paintings are why we know that cavemen hunted stuff! So maybe let me study old art, the cultural and psychological aspects :eyes: would be fun yano.
Anyway, these were my personal opinions and I'd love to see yours, please do comment whether or not you agree! And write ionately! I love seeing ion in your comments >:T
That's all! Have a good day/night!!
this is a first I'm sorry if it's not good enough

Congrats on your first blog, Anas! It's very good. :relaxed: :two_hearts:
As for me, I agree. Art and history come hand in hand. We know so much about our own beginnings because of the footprints left by art as humanity traversed time. I think it's as important that we know how art began and how it came to be and evolved to what it is now. After all, to know something better is to understand its past. Our society has changed so much because of it and what we learned from art's history can be used as a tool to influence future as well.

Heck yes Les draaaw
I may not good at explaining this but ok so when I was in high school doing Art Class when my teacher was teaching us about the history of an artist of Vincent ( I forgot his last name T-T ) but as soon I was learning and we have to draw them in about 2 weeks before it due and then it comes to conclusions to the other artists as well

Thanks bestie I really appreciated :heartpulse: :heartpulse:
I think that art history should be taught along with the history and art lessons, since history books usually have some drawings in them. And also art exists thousands of years. Even in the prehistoric years. But that changes from country to country
Right :0 that would actually work well!!
Exactly! Visualizing the artworks and reading alongside them provides information about an era or the cultural side of the country
I think yes! Here art history is usually taught in highschool (if you choose art as your future major) it should be taught in early school years, there may be a possibility that if it's taught early, kids that find the history interesting, will choose art as their future career or something.

Ayooo lesgoo
I believe art history should be taught but it’s a tricky subject because it should not be taught with bias,
With art it is hard to withhold from that honestly :skull:
Completely agreed- there are pros and cons of art education but if we aren't biased then actually history of art is really exciting in itself :eyes: :sparkles:
I honestly feel like history itself as a subject is taught with bias in general
And it's usually done with the small details
just so that people don't notice it

That's true ; - ; every single time there's some sort of propaganda hidden
