Incomplete Rambles

Flowery fields

and forests with no end in sight

when poems sound just right

moss covered rocks

and broken bridges

Orange kittens

and blanket forts

the way she smiles at me

or calms me down

when I’m stuck in my own head

The smell of rain

and getting caught in a storm

the pitter patters

how it echoes through my brain

It’s not what I fear

but for what I speak

does the morning listen

when I sing out?

does it breath and think

the same that I do?

A thousand words my sorrows

a thousand more unsaid

whispers invade my every second

spreading me until I’m drawn thin

I feel the same as before, an indescribable twing of sadness just this time hope has died

Seldom do our souls truly love

a fiery ion to quick to burn

a lie I tell myself

seemingly impossible to love

I watch each moment me by,

wondering if I’d be better all alone

less heartache to postpone
