Gemtale - My Interpretation

So, a lot of people have their own opinions on the places of Gems in the Undertale/SU crossover, and here's mine!

:heart: Frisk - Connie

Both Connie and Frisk venture into a world of things completely unknown to them. Frisk only hears legends and rumors of monsters before falling, and Connie has no Gem knowledge until she meets Steven.

:blue_heart: Chara - Lapis

Chara and Lapis have both dealt with some pretty stressful situations, such as spending thousands of years in a mirror, and litERALLY BEING MURDERED. They have also made huge sacrifices for people they care about. Chara poisoned themself to set monsters free, and Lapis fused with Jasper to protect Steven.

🖤Flowey - Tiny Floating Whale

:purple_heart: Toriel - Greg

Both Toriel and Greg are caring parents who want nothing more than the safety of their children. They both have a vast knowledge of specific topics (cooking, music), and feel that they may need to hide certain things in order to protect others.

🖤Napstablook - Sapphire

:purple_heart: Sans - Amethyst

Both Sans and Amethyst have a humorous, outgoing personality, but it serves as a cover for a darker side of them. Both approach life with a lazy, laid-back attitude, and.... rocks.

:green_heart: Papyrus - Peridot

Papy and Peri both act very naive and welcoming (most of the time), and have pretty high self confidence. They both tend to be obsessive, comical, and strategic. They try to be threatening, but it really doesn't work.

🖤Lesser Dog - Aquamarine

🖤Greater Dog - Topaz

🖤Doggo - Holly Blue

🖤Grillby - Rutile

🖤Annoying Dog - Pumpkin

🖤Monster Kid - Peedee

🖤Bird that carries you over a disproportionately small gap - Bird Monster (from Giant Woman)

🖤Mad Dummy - Ruby

🖤Gerson - Fluorite

🖤Temmies - Watermelon Stevens

:yellow_heart: Undyne - Jasper

Undyne and Jasper are both very impulsive characters who believe in their strength. Both can be quick to make assumptions, but take satisfaction from winning a fair fight.

🖤Royal Guards - Skinny Jasper and Carnelian

:yellow_heart: Alphys - Pearl

Pearl and Alphys are the nervous nerds of these two universes. Both have things that they want to hide, and have a hard time thinking about them. These things affect their actions and emotions, and give them powerful experiences with loss and failure.

:purple_heart: Mettaton - Garnet

Like Mettaton, Garnet is very confident and has a lot of love for herself. Both want to do what's best for those they care about, but can be brash (as literally stated by Garnet). Mettaton and Garnet can be confusing to be around, and it can be hard to tell when they're giving encouragement. Neither are afraid to show off what they pride themselves for.

🖤Burgerpants - Lars

🖤Gaster - Bismuth

Both Gaster and Bismuth have some mystery behind them, and make us wonder about things that didn't seem important before. Both are hidden, or even trapped.

:broken_heart: Amalgamates - Fusion experiments

:heart: Asgore - Rose Quartz

Asgore and Rose have both done some regrettable things, but only because they thought it was best for those who relied on them. Both tried their hardest to be a good leader, despite their many minor and major conflicts.

:green_heart: Asriel - Steven

Aside from their parents' placements, both Asriel and Steven started as innocent, happy kids. But as they lived and learned more, they began to think differently. Both have done daring, dangerous things to help and protect their loved ones (absorbing Chara's soul, turning himself in as Rose Quartz).
