Overview

After the defeat of the IMC’s Remnant Fleet across the frontier, many career soldiers and pilots were completely out of work, and stuck hundreds of lightyears from home. Earning the nickname “Wallflower” from her colleagues for her habit of always attacking from the strangest angles, Norwood is a movement specialist whose next actions can never be predicted.

Making use of her old titan piloting equipment, Wallflower takes to the arena with her almost fourth-dimensional ways of thinking about and strategizing with the environment, although her rather frequent use of military-grade stimulants may also play into her... unique perception of the space around her. When her veins aren’t coursing with the adrenaline of battle, they’re usually coursing with a half dozen medications bought with her winnings, usually shoddy treatments for the myriad of psychological and physical ailments procured from time in the IMC service. After all, being a pilot isn’t just pushups and stretches, it’s thousands of dollars in enhancements, many of which end up tipping the majority share of a pilot’s body in the hand of the IMC than the pilot themselves.

•After a very short charge-up, Wallflower gains a sudden burst of momentum in the direction she is currently moving.

Ultimate: Moonshot (Cooldown: ~5 min.)

•While in an area with an unobstructed view of the sky, and after a charge-up, Wallflower can shoot herself and nearby teammates (or enemies) upwards into the sky, essentially functioning as an impromptu, extremely rapid Redeploy Balloon.

With roughly 54% of her body being organ enhancements, bone replacements/fortifications, even things like blood supplements designed to withstand the rigors or stimulant and medication, legally, she doesn’t hold ownership over her body, it belongs to the IMC. If the IMC Remnant Fleet hasn’t pulled out of the frontier as abruptly as they did, they likely would have done to her what they do to most of their career pilots—heavily press body enhancements, and then entrapping the pilots in the service of the IMC once they technically own a majority share of the pilot. It’s a sticky legal situation only compounded by the fact that the frontier’s rebellion means there are very few actual legal bodies to stand in the way. No governments means the IMC has pretty much full control.

The reason Wallflower competes in the arena is because she has no other choice. Habits picked up from the service, mostly in the form of military-grade drugs, some of which her body is so accustomed to that withdrawal could kill her. She fights, she makes her money in sponsorships and the occasional winnings, which she turns around immediately in both prescription and black-market drugs. It’s an ugly and incredibly unsustainable lifestyle, but the only alternatives may as well be suicide.

Her cosmetic appearance is largely the result of needing to appeal to ment, mostly in the form of skin injections and clearing ups. Wallflower isn’t often seen in social and press events, simply unable to handle such functions without her extremely poor mental state ruining it. To the press, she’s a spunky ex-IMC pilot who was abandoned by her force, but still fosters a warrior’s spirit. In reality, she’s a shell-shocked, depressed, anxiety- and drug-ridden woman struggling for control and ownership of her own body.
