Hello guys! It's review time! For the baking theme we are going back to one of my favorite GOTY collections. Grace Thomas’. I hope you enjoy this! Anyways, let’s get into the Grace Thomas Baking Set.

The first few items we will cover are the Baking Booklet, Tablet, and Tablet Slides. The Baking Booklet is listed to have real recipes in it. I think that is really cool! Something interesting about the title is it is an actual family owned bakery! The Tablet comes with a built in stand and a stylus. American girl has made a lot of tablets or phones but sometimes they are just accessories. This tablet is said to be included to help write down new ideas. The other Tablet Slides are included so you can change what is shown on the screen.

Next, we will talk about the pastery cutter, wooden spoon, measuring cups, sifter, and flour. I’ll cover the first two together. The pastery cutter is a simple hand held plastic cutter and the wooden spoon is a wood texture plastic. The measuring cups are pink as well as stackable plastic measuring cups. I’ll cover these two together as well. The sifter is a plastic sifter with an actually turning handle and the flour is just a box.

Finally, I will talk about the mixer! The mixer comes with a light blue mixer, removable plastic bowl, and two beaters. The mixer actually works but it doesn’t come with batteries. The bowl is a plastic silver bowl. The two beaters are removable and interchangeable. One is white and the other is silver.

Overall, I would rate this a 7/10. I absolutely love this set but there are some flaws. The set was listed at $68.00 and doesn’t come with any batteries. It comes with a lot but not enough for that price in my opinion. Anyways, that’s all from me for this week. Goodbye!

DIY doll bread and oven mitt

Materials: Felt, hot glue or needle and thread, clay or cornstarch and shampoo, chalk pastels paint, pencil

Clay: Mix shampoo and cornstarch in a bowel, keep adding cornstarch until it is a dough and no longer sticky.

Bread: take a chunk of clay and roll it into a ball. Then using your hand roll it out into a cylindrical shape. Flatten it slightly and use a pencil to add the oven lines. Sit it out to dry for a couple days. Then either paint it, color it with chalk pastels, or leave it the color it is. (Note, the example is unpainted)

Oven mitt: Use your dolls hand as a guide to draw a mitten like shape on a piece of felt. Add an about 1/4 of an inch perimeter around that. Cut it out and use it as a guide to cut out another. Either sew or hot glue the two together, leaving the bottom open. Flip right side out, and you‘re done. Repeat to make a pair.
