"I'll Fight For and Beside You" - A Levi Fanfic

Heyo! It's everybody's favorite ghoul, Angel Rayne, here with another post that will blow y'all away. So, I was watching Attack on Titan and then started fantasizing what it would be like if I was in that world. (Naturally, I would fall in love with Levi and he wouldn't love me back. But this is a fanfic, so anything can happen. XD) So, I got inspired to write this fanfic. I hope y'all like it. Enjoy ^^

The year was 845. The day started off as any other: hot. Everywhere, the children were running around, trying to catch a glimpse of the Scouts as they returned from the battle with the Titans.

"Those hellish creatures," I had thought to myself.

Each time the Scouts left, less and less of them seemed to return. I had managed to catch a slight glimpse of a dark-haired one, before my line of vision was obstructed.

After everyone had dispersed, I sat on a crate. I had never thought of what I wanted to do after I was an adult, but as I was sitting there, my mind had wandered off into the idea of being a Scout. The thought of fighting the Titans seemed like a possible idea for me. But my mother would never approve, like a lot of parents. They were too afraid to send their children to train to most likely meet their doom.

"Hey!" A voice rang out, disturbing me from my thoughts.

I looked up to see 3 people headed my way. I stood up as they approached.

"We saw the way you were looking at those scouts. Are you planning to become one later on?" They laughed. My face burned with slight embarrassment as they taunted me. "You wouldn't last a day. The Titans would eat you up."

I clenched my jaw. What I do is none of their business.

"Oh, look. The wee little child is getting angry," they laughed. "Why don't you go home and cry to Mommy?"

I had finally had enough. "F*** off," I muttered.

They stopped laughing. "What did you say?"

"I said, f*** off," I said, louder.

Then, a hand had reached out, and I was on the ground. Without thinking, I kicked my leg up, hard, and kicked the nearest one in the crotch. He doubled over and groaned in pain.

"You....b***!" The other two boys stepped forward and started kicking me.

Suddenly, the kicking stopped. I looked up and saw Hannes holding the boys by their collars.

"Girl's got guts. She ain't like you cowards. She can fend for herself," he said. "I'd advise you to scram before I see to it that you get fed to a Titan. Or worse, get to be in the company of Captain Levi." I felt a rush of gratitude towards him.

He turned to me. "You alright, Angel?" I nod. "Alright. Let's get you ho-" he trailed off as he looked at the wall. Something was off.

I looked at the wall just in time to see a large hand grasp the wall. My heart started thumping hard against my chest as a head looked over the wall at us.

Time froze. Everyone was paralyzed with fear. Nobody knew what to do, or how this was possible. Wall Maria, the wall that surrounded our city, was 50 meters high, and this Titan could see above it.

Without warning, a large body crashed through the wall, and everybody ran. Then, it was clear. Wall Maria had fallen. Shiganshina would soon be overruled with Titans.

Before I knew it, my legs had started moving on their own. I was down the street when I saw it.

A big, wide mouthed Titan holding my mother.

"NO!" I cried out. "MOTHER!"

My mother turned her head and saw me. "ANGEL!" She yelled. "WHAT ARE YOU DOING? RUN! SAVE YOURSELF! LIVE!"

Tears welled up in my eyes. "NO! I CAN'T! I WON'T!"

The Titan raised my mother up to its mouth, and my mother, as if accepting her fate, looked me dead in the eyes. She smiled a bit. "I love you," she said.

Then, as if in slow motion, it bit her head clean off. Every detail was visible. Every drop of blood, every hair, was crystal clear. Even the crunching noise could he heard.

The air in my lungs left my body in an audible "Whoosh," as if I had been punched from behind. My world crumbled to pieces as I stood there and watched, completely useless. My mother, the only parent I have ever known, gone forever. And by a Titan.

Memories came flooding through my mind, as if someone were playing a movie. The more memories I saw, the angrier I became, until my vision was nothing but red.

The Titan turned its head toward me. I quickly looked around and found a sword from what looked like a fallen member of the Military Police.

"Wait...I don't know how to use this..." I thought to myself.

"You're about to learn," a snide voice in the back of my mind replied.

The Titan tried to grab at me, and I took a clumsy stab at a finger. Unsurprisingly, I had missed.

But as I was getting ready to try again, I was being pulled backwards and thrown over a shoulder.

"The hell! Are you crazy?!" A familiar voice yelled. I didn't respond.

After what seemed like an eternity, we were safely behind Wall Rose. I was set down and came face to face with Hannes.

"What the hell were you thinking?" He hissed. "You could have been killed! You've had absolutely no training, yet you still tried to take it down."

"My mother...." I whispered. Suddenly, the tears that didn't come before came gushing from my eyes, and I fell to my knees, crying.

"What's going on here?" A gruff voice said.

Hannes stood up. "Commander Smith." He put a fist over his heart.

"Explain to me why she is crying and what could have gotten her killed," Commander Smith ordered.

"You see, sir, Angel was trying to battle a Titan after witnessing her mother being eaten. She just picked up a sword from a fallen member of our Military Police and tried to stab it. If I hadn't been there to grab her, it would have gotten her for sure," Hannes explained.

The commander was silent for a few moments. He looked at me. "Is this true?"

Reluctantly, I nodded.

"Keep an eye on her. Make sure she goes through training. If it's possible, have her go through special training," He said while looking at Hannes. "I've got a good feeling about her."

Anyway, that's only just the prologue. Hope y'all loved it. I certainly enjoyed writing it. I can't promise I'll have the next one ed in a week, but I will try. So, as always, I'll see you....in the next post. Peace!
