You awake to the gentle sway of a ship, a smooth breeze carrying the faint scent of salt. A throbbing headache blossoms behind your eyes. Your body feels sluggish, heavy with a lingering drowsiness. The urge to close your eyes and succumb to sleep is almost overwhelming, but a nagging unease keeps you rooted. Squinting against the bright sun, you shield your face with your hand, the rough fabric of your own clothing a stark contrast to the smooth deck beneath you. You are on a cruise ship; the realization hits you with the force of a physical blow. The memory of a drug-induced haze, of being forced onto this vessel, is hazy but undeniably there. You glance around; others lie scattered nearby, some stirring, others still lost in the drugged stupor. It's evident: you are all victims, kidnapped, but for what purpose remains a chilling mystery. The vast expanse of ocean stretching out in all directions offers no solace, only a profound sense of isolation and fear. The deck feels strangely deserted. You cautiously stand, legs unsteady, and survey the scene.

The sun beats down, intensifying the headache, but you must understand your situation. You attempt to what you know. This ship is massive, and a cursory check reveals no obvious means of escape, no other engers, no crew. Just your fellow captives and the endless ocean. A knot of apprehension tightens in your stomach. There is no sign of struggle, only the evidence of forced sedation and a horrifying isolation that suggests you are somewhere out on the open sea. The horror of your situation crashes over you, cold and palpable. You are far from land, and you have no idea why you are here.

As the sun climbs higher, the reality of your predicament becomes even more stark. This is not a typical cruise. It's a prison, a floating jail on the open ocean with no clear answers in sight. You look at the others, their faces mirroring your own fear and confusion. No one offers any answers. There is only the vastness of the sea, the relentless sun, and the terrifying knowledge that your captivity may stretch on indefinitely. Escape seems impossible. Your situation is hopeless, a terrifying reality that settles with crushing weight. You are prisoners, adrift at sea with no hope in sight.

- All content should abide by the community [guidelines].

- to spice things up a bit, canon characters will be allowed, although only 5 of these slots can be filled, I will allow no more than 5 cannons to be present. Ocs are allowed. As a side note, every person will play a max of TWO characters.

- There is a literacy requirement, I don't ask for much, I only ask that you write to AT LEAST the level of semi-literate. This would include proper grammar and spelling. This is to give others something to work with when replying. I would prefer if most were literate, however, this doesn't HAVE to be the case.

- please respect everyone within the chatroom and be mindful of their triggers and icks. Bullying and discrimination of any kind is not tolerated. If the host catches you breaking this rule it is an immediate kick. No ifs ands or buts.

- absolutely no Goddmodding and metagaming, please make this roleplay as realistic as possible. No information learned OOC should be implemented into your character, and neither should any controlling behavior be present.

- your activity within the roleplay is crucial to help complete the storyline. If you are inactive please be aware your character may be more susceptible to death.

No 18+ or NSFW is prohibited.

- When wanting to use violence against another character - however not killing them in the process, make it realistic, and be sure to use consent when doing so.

- Use ooc marks when out of character, this includes //, )),;,::, etc.

- Make sure everyone is included and nobody gets left behind. If you can, make an effort to speak with the character you've never interacted with. I would hate to see anyone left out.

- Be active! Nobody likes a bare chat, and if we want this to continue most of the meme nerd have to be active. I can understand being busy, but at LEAST get on once in a while.

KILLING GAME RULES

KILLING GAME DESC --> The killing game will begin once everyone has entered a certain amount of characters. There are chapters to the game, each chapter someone will be killed at random (the killer having to enter an anonymous form to kill whatever student of their choosing) - and the students have to piece together what happened to the victim. Firstly, there will be an investigation period, which will exist for one real life day. Next is the class trial, which will go on for two real-life days: in this, you are allowed to use one-liners to further aid the class trial. Once the trial is over, everyone will put in their votes for who they think the killer is, the one with the most votes will get killed off. These votes will remain anonymous, meaning you have to DM the host your vote. Make sure you actually vote otherwise there may be a penalty. If the true killer is not found out they will be able to leave and be supplied with whatever they need for the apocalypse/ the rest of their foreseeable future, along with riches and other things. If the killer is not found out, the person who was picked will die and the killing game will continue. This will keep going on until there are only three survivors. To spice things up, there will be motives revealed later that will help further aid the killing process.

Rule #2: Once a murder takes place, all surviving students must participate in a class trial.

Rule #3: If the blackened is exposed during the class trial, they will be executed.

Rule #4: If the blackened is not exposed, all remaining students will be allowed to continue on with the killing game.

Rule #5: If the blackened survive the class trial, they will graduate and be able to leave the facility. They will be supplied for their journey back into the world, granting them survival to the apocalypse by any means necessary.

Rule #6: It doesn't matter if you catch the culprit or not, there will be no repercussions, although if someone uninvolved gets voted they will die and the killer will continue on with the game. This will be revealed for more angst scenarios.

Rule #7: The killing game and class trials will continue until only THREE surviving students remain.

Rule #8: "Nighttime" is from 10 p.m. to 8 a.m. The Cafeteria is off-limits at night.

Rule #9: The "Body Discovery Announcement" will play when three or more students discover a body.

Rule #10: With minimal restrictions, you are free to explore the site at your discretion.

Rule #11: If two different murders by different murderers occur at the same time, only the one whose victim was found first will be the blackened.

Rule #12: After 2 class trials, a site will open.

DEATH

There is no guarantee your character will survive, you were all victims the moment you set foot onto campgrounds. The host will not give anyone special treatment just because you would like your character to survive. All deaths are equal and most will not survive.

INVESTIGATION PERIOD

There will be a small investigation period which will last for one real-life day. There, evidence and other notes will be added to further aid the reveal of the true killer. However, there will be narration as most information will not be revealed.

If you are unsure what narration is, in this roleplay - it will be used as an interactive tool to investigate a body. You can ask question ns and I - the host will answer. But how do you iniciate this? Well - its simple.

To further explain, here are some examples:

❕Sabrina looked around the area - was there any noticeable evidence unseen?❕

and then, the host, myself, will answer.

TRIALS

Here it is acceptable to use one-liners, all trials will take place for two real-life days. All votes will remain anonymous, if you would like to vote please dm the host.

The host of the roleplay will remain anonymous and no character shall ever see the host face to face, only upon the loudspeakers during a body announcement. This is to not add any confusion as I will be playing my own character within the killing game.
