Lady Labrinth Challenge Entry

hey guys! Welcome to another blog and I'm super excited for today's blog because I'm gonna be participating in my very first challenge here so it's gonna be great!

well, idk if this is necessary, but I feel the need to summarise what this challenge is about so that it'd be beneficial for those who don't know, hehe. Well anyways, we had to choose a number between 1 to 25, and dm the number to any of the leaders of Lyruu and then they're gonna give you a song, and you gotta decode it! So, I chose number 8 and I got a part from "see you later". I was just as excited because I really love this underrated song.

so this is the part of the song I had recieved and here's what I could decode for it, so let's go!

this part, it comes out as an expression or a reaction of disbelief, when the singer asks, or to be specific, when the singer "doubts" if the guy really said that whatever's between them is gonna last forever. It's like the guy only used this heavy words to emotionally blackmail her, but in the end, it's all a lie. So those words that come from him drown her in disbelief and she asks him to "hold up" so that she could contain herself from the unexpected statement. And in the next line, the singer clarifies the reason why the previous statement drowns her into disbelief, which is because no matter what the guy does, he always ends up messing everything. No matter how many promises, how many ammends, how many second and last chances, he still ends up messing it up which causes her to not believe his words because it's the actions that speak louder. The next line goes on revealing more details about this relationship defining that the guy keeps on going in circles and that he's fickle minded or probably selfish, that he comes when he needs and leaves when he's bored. And that movement is being compared to a ping pong, which lands in your hands, then is bounced back to another direction, and the same cycle goes on. This is quite a wise choice of words right there! And lastly, the singer says that she's had enough and that now she'll kick him out of her life because honestly, who can live with someone like that right?

the singer says in the first line that she has no regrets because she believes that she did the right thing by kicking him out of her life and there's nothing worth regretting but actually, it's worth to be proud of. She continues saying that she did enough, which probably means that she must've given him many 2nd and last chances, must've forgiven him for numerous mistakes and must've put a lot of efforts only for them to go in vain. She says that she doesn't have him anyway which can be quite more deep and complex than it seems. Here's my take on it which is like when she had him, she just figuratively had him, but he wasn't fully with her which might mean that he wasn't fully investing his heart, his time and his love in her, so even when he was, and even now when he isn't, it's just the same. There's no "him", never was. It's just the same, his presence, his absence. Now I can't be very sure what the singer means when she says that "i always break my promise" but if it's about what I'm thinking about it, then imma decode it like even after knowing what he is and what he's gonna do, at the end of the day, she ends up breaking her own promise, the one which she must've made when she said that she won't forgive him anymore or that she won't keep waiting for him or putting efforts into him. But then, he just needs to say a few words coated with roses and chocolates and she ends up breaking her promise. And this is actually so true, like I do know many girls who go through the same things, I've myself too. It's like, a canon event at this point.

this is probably the simplest part to decode which is just a simple yet widely used expression, even when we mean it and even when we don't. There are 2 ways of saying "see you later" - one, when you're really gonna see them later and two, when you're just trynna run away or make them leave. In this song, the meaning is latter. The singer tells him that she'll see him later, maybe to shut him down for the time being, so that he won't pester her. She also says next, "Would have, could have, should have, didn’t", which probably means that when she told him that she'll see him later, she knew she had the chance and time to and that she should've met him later if that's what she said, yet she didn't actually go meet him again. That's really cool of her istg!

and lastly, this part, it's kind of like teasing the guy for his vulnerabilities and shortcomings. She teases him saying that he doesn't have any best friend or anyone to spend time with. He only had her and now he even lost her so he doesn't have anybody to be we. I don't really understand what she means by "I’m going to be lonely this weekend." - but my guess is that she means that she'd usually spend time with him in weekends but now that they aren't together, she's gonna be alone this weekend but she's fine with it with the way she says it. And lastly, she disses him saying that he's a loser who couldn't value the precious girl by his side, a loner who got nobody and a mean bully who didn't appreciate the true love he once had.

Nathan was an American guy who was working as a photographer in Rosé's office. Rosé was a simple girl, working her shift from morning 9 to evening 5 and that was all she had. A decent job, a decent salary, a decent home, a decent lifestyle. All she wanted was love and a happily ever after.

But Nathan Clarks was anything but that. When she met him 6 months ago in the firm, he was a newbie too but had ed a few months before her. And because of his exceptional skills and his charming nature, he had made a way to everyone's good books. When Rosé ed the firm, she couldn't make many friends because she was the only fresh newbie and everyone had already made friends group that were too ignorant to befriend her.

yet she found solace in her own company, and having formal and pleasant greetings with her colleagues was enough because she was optimistic and believed she'd make friends eventually until Nathan decided it's his shot. Being the popular and charming guy in the office, he developed hots for the sweet and generally quiet Rosè.

he approached her randomly one day, asking her for an opinion on one of his clicks and being the sweet person she is, she gave him the best opinion she could. Because he was popular and so friendly to her, she couldn't say no when he asked her out for a coffee date after a few days of little conversations. He showed her that side of his which evryone knew and liked, which was objectively, a good side of him. And Rosie fell for it too.

he was always a gentleman to her, offering her pick up and drop rides, giving her chocolates, taking her out to eat, call and text her frequently, tell her sweet things, listen to her rant and rave. He was all Rosie could ask for. She loved him and he was an amazing boyfriend to her until he found someone better, or, until he decided to show his trueself.

when Jennie ed the firm, she went to a different department. And unlike Rosie, she quickly made friends. Rosie had hardly seen her everyday due to being in different departments. Nathan, he got bored with Rosie once he saw Jennie and then he started subtly flirting with her and because Nathan had the looks and personality and popularity, Jennie too fell for it.

now Nathan won't pick Rosie's calls as frequently as he used to, won't really talk alot like before because he was spending his time with Jennie. Until one day, Rosie found out that he was with Jennie when she saw them together in a cafe. Rosie confronted him afterwards and Nathan played a twisted game, lying how much he loved her and that there's nothing wrong with it and poor Rosie fell for it.

but Nathan was Nathan, he didn't change. He kept going back and forth with Jennie and Rosie and everytime he was caught, he'd make some excuse and Rosie fell for it because she loved him. But one day, she had had enough, and by she, i mean Jennie. Because Jennie found out that Nathan had a girlfriend in the sales department named Rosie and he's cheating on her.

Jennie was a girl's girl and she couldn't tolerate some guy doing that with innocent girls. She quickly ed with Rosie and told her everything. Rosie broke out in tears, accepting that she knew Nathan was lying everytime yet she believed him because she loved him. Jennie confronted her, consoled her and asked her to break up with him for her own well being which Rosie finally did. Since then, Rosie and Jennie have been good friends and Nathan will be "seen later, maybe never!"
