The Battle Royale may be over, but the spirit lives on in our creative little hearts!

This year, we had a LOT of people getting involved with making things for the Battle Royale. Writing, art, music, edits, propaganda, whatever - the Battle Royale (BR) lit a fire under our creative backsides and kicked a lot of us into gear, and hopefully even those who didn't participate enjoyed what we created.

Sadly, the competition only goes for a month, and a solid number of us never actually got to post some things we wanted to. Ideas, concepts, creations - we missed out. That *IS* the nature of the game, of course, but who says we have to stow those things away just because we didn't make it?

So, with this in , I'd like to present to you:

What is BR: Untold?

BR Untold is an opportunity for us to tell the stories that we didn't have the time or chance to do during the main event. It's not a challenge, per se - it's more of an invitation to finish off (or begin) your character's story in a way that you want.

Consider it like an opportunity to tell an alternate story. Maybe you survived until much later in the campaign, or maybe you teamed up with other contestants. Maybe you had a side character whose story you wanted to share, or maybe you wanted to deepen your own BR lore.

Whatever your ideas, this is basically a month of free reign to create within the BR context.

What if I didn't participate in the Battle Royale?

You're still welcome to in! Maybe there's a story or some art you want to share, showing the effects of this annual event on the rest of the Galaxy. Perhaps you want to participate next year - this could be your opportunity to set up your character for the next event!

Sometimes events give birth to memes

I'll drop a prompt each Sunday up to the end of the event, to help you get started (if you don't already have any ideas).

Obviously, we have a bit of structure, so here's the rules:

1. Ask permission to use characters and factions that aren't your own

Part of the fun is collaborating, but make sure that your desired partner is okay with the collaboration. Try to stay true to others' characters and factions if you use them, too - nobody wants misrepresentation.

2. You cannot change the outcome of the BR

What happened in January is set in stone. You can write offshoot universes, "What if"'s, and add to the setting and story, but only in a way that doesn't detract from what actually happened.

3. This IS a Writing Team challenge!

While we welcome all forms of media, this is primarily a Writing Team challenge and we encourage everyone to try their hand at writing - whether it be a script, synopsis, poetry, faction or character lore, or outright storytelling - we'd love to see you manipulating language and putting it to page!
