y’all i really got a love hate relationship with this fuckass show bc on one hand i do nawt wanna watch another season of dis shit but on the other hand, it is so well written like i’m shocked.
lowkey i expected for the quality to just fall off like what happened with v*ltron but it honestly didn’t??? like after soren flossed, i was scared but it redeemed itself. at one point i was rlly on the edge of my seat bc ik this show killed lesbians before and i was WORRIED. i also really never liked viren’s character (i still don’t) but i can acknowledge that is writing is really good. from the beginning he was a really good villain and now this sorta pseudo-redemption that he’s getting is pretty good.
i think the soren/claudia/viren storyline has always been one of the best because i love that although they’re his family, soren is able to stand up for what he believes in even if it goes against claudia and viren. like soren has always been one of my favorite characters and this really solidified it because these past few seasons he has actually been taken more seriously and treated as more than just comic relief.
but i also do not wanna watch another season of this for nostalgia reasons probably idk.
also, these past few season had made rayllum so bearable and honestly shows tend to piss me off with how they go abt hetero relationships but tdp is eating this one thing
like for example in spop bow and glimmer were besties, sure, but i never saw any romantic moments between them at all and maybe if i had, their timeskip relationship would’ve made sense???? like i don’t like when they establish something one way just for it to be changed in a timskip???? we all knew they were t4t besties and gay in opposite directions but OK
but rayllum aight, not a fan but it doesn’t piss me off
