#InfoIcelandics how to prevent your art from getting stolen!

I would like to start out by saying: OH MY GOSH IM A CURATOR! I haven’t had time to post a post -ahem- or I was just too lazy to..... one of the two. But thank you to the mods for picking me :heart: :blush:

Now, onto my #InfoIcelandics post

If you make art frequently, here are some tips to make sure that your art isn’t stolen!

Now, why would anyone want to steal your art in the first place?

This world is horrible and people will steal your work to make it seem like it’s theirs. Why? Because they are liars and cheaters. Don’t trust them.

So, what can I do to ensure that my art isn’t stolen?

There is no way that you can completely protect yourself from it, because cheaters are sneaky. But, I have a few tips to make the chances of stolen art be lesser.

1-Signature

Write your signature. Preferably your name on Amino so that it’s proof that you actually did it :joy: If it’s not your name on Amino, people could lie and say that ‘that’s my name!’ So yeeeah

2-Background

Some stealers are really sneaky and will cover up your name to make it seem like it has no signature. The only way that I though of that you could prevent this is to make an interesting background, so that it’s very hard to cover up un-noticeably. You could write your name inside a little box void of background, because that would still be hard to cover up.

3-Style

Use the same style for all of your art, so you become known for that art style. Then, if someone tries to steal it, people can realize ‘oh, this —’s art style!’ and discover the fraud.

Don’t be afraid
