Risk is a once in a lifetime dog. I was at a herding lesson with Toxin, when my instructors wife came up from their house to watch. I knew she showed in conformation and told her I was showing smooth coat border collies. She was impressed and was like, well I have a puppy you can show. After my lesson she walked my mom and I down to their kennel and introduced me to three puppies left from his litter. Risk's litter was especially special because his sire ed away shortly after they were born I immediately fell in love with him. I really had no intentions of getting another dog at the time, but I really wanted him. So I told her I'd consider it. A few days later I called her and asked her questions about if she thought he'd make a good service dog prospect. A month later my mom and I made the drive to pick him up. He came to me named Peter, but I decided to change it to Risk to reflect the Risk I took bringing home another dog to my dad's house. 🤪 Risk was a very soft, mushy puppy and took a lot of hard work to build him into the confident dog he is today. The hard work paid off. He is an extremely incredible dog. He's gentle with my daughter, he loves EVERYONE, and he tries his very best to do everything I ask of him to the best of his ability. He's happy all the time and SO freaking goofy. He just wants to be with me 24/7, and he does this ridiculous thing where he swats me with his paw if I'm not paying enough attention to him. By the age of one he began alerting to my seizures anywhere from 10 to 45 minutes before one occured. The special thing about this is, seizure alerts cannot be trained. Either the dog has one, or they don't. Toxin has had one from the time she was a puppy, and I honestly was not expecting to get another dog in my lifetime with the same ability. The fact that he does sense them coming on is incredible. He has literally saved my life many times. He has flown cross country with me, gone all over creation, and he's just, there, always willing, always happy. He is my first AKC champion, my first conformation line dog, and hopefully, my foundation stud for my program. I have so many plans for him for performance sports in the future once he and Billy finish his grand championship, and I can't wait to see where we go together. They say we're not supposed to have favorites... But well, Risk is absolutely my favorite by far. Toxin is my heart dog, and I love all of my dogs equally, but this dog is my heart and soul. He has shaped and forever changed my life.

First and foremost, Risk is a much loved member of the family and spoiled rotten pet. Risk is also my service dog- he has a natural seizure alert. He also is trained in seizure response, anxiety alert, grounding, deep pressure therapy, and finding exits or the car. He is a show dog- he is an AKC champion, major pointed towards his Grand Championship. He goes on the road every once in a while with Billy, a professional handler, while I take a break from showing. Risk is also training for agility, and he has been on stock in the past. He is fully health tested (OFAs/DNA)

Food, especially chicken and cheese, my daughter, squeaky toys, cuddles, rolling around on the ground like a mad man, zoomies, going bye bye (if you ask him if he wants to go bye bye, he literally screams lol)

Vegetables, fruit, bath time, being blow dried, nail Dremel (talk about dramatic 🙄 he sings the song of his people the entire time)
