1. Name/Preferred Name:
I've gone by a lot of names since others have usually referred to me by the characters I've roleplayed as—so I've no preference for any! Although I have stuck with Edge since I was thirteen! A couple of friends and I once got another pal to believe that Hedge was my legal name for a brief moment—the H being silent—and ever since then it's been a bit of an inside joke

I've been around the past week! Just a little bit reluctant to properly start a new streak. It's kinda a bummer when it inevitably dies at the 1000-something mark. That said: I'm not busy at all at the moment so I'll likely be more active if needed!
3. Are you aware of the guidelines and chatroom rules that must be upheld?
Most definitely! I'm not sure if it still happens nowadays but back when I was originally a CM, I was tasked with asking hosts to add the rules to their chat under a strict time limit. I'd be happy to adapt to any changes to how things are done now.
4. Will you speak out if you encounter a problem?
Yes! If someone tries to ignore any notices I give in accordance to the problem, I will try to reiterate what I said once but if they're continuously pretending to turn the other way, I'll go ahead and just take action. For more serious offenses, I will immediately kick/hide/report them
5. Can you effectively perform the duties of a Chat Monitor?
I believe so! I have some experience with moderation but it's been a hot minute. I like to think I'm fair with how I handle disputes but I'm open to taking any critique from other staff or the community if I'm doing anything wrong such as handling things too harshly or too lightly.
6. Will you inform your team leader or the agent if you need to go on a semi or full hiatus?
Definitely, I think it's so important to tell those you're working with on a team when you're going to be inactive or it could lead to someone else unexpectedly taking on a larger workload then originally intended.
7. How do you handle challenging situations in a chat environment?
If it's a serious matter, I'd deal with it swiftly and professionally—not professionally as in an expert-sorta-way (although I do strive for that) but moreso without involving myself further by trying to argue a point with the troll. I've learned that usually people being outright gremlins will not ever be convinced to follow the rules that they're breaking and then decide to do better. On the other hand if it's a situation where in a chat start infighting, I'd consult with the rest of the team if they're all being defiant but not outright aggressive towards one another. If any of them are, I would remind them to be civil and if they refuse they will be kicked. If the whole chat is being problematic, I would then escalate and inform a curator.
8. How would you ensure a friendly and positive chatroom atmosphere?
By ensuring that no one in our community will be attempting to degrade, insult, or bully another of our and by making sure chats stay clean of vulgar imagery or slurs—on the side, I will also attempt to remind people to stay on-topic to the chat's original purpose. Say, folks that are roleplaying would prefer to not be spammed by memes or a random conversation that might be better suited for an OOC chat. I'll also keep an eye out for any lewd behaviors and immediately put a stop to that—alongside this I would also make sure that everyone is staying safe and not asking for any personal information from anyone else or giving any.
9. Do you understand the protocol for escalating issues to a curator or leader when necessary?
Yes! But I might need a solid refresher just in case!
