Recoloring

WARNING: This is just a rant not directed towards anyone, just thought I would bring this up.

Recoloring... Isn't art. I'm sorry to say, but if you recolor something, it's basically you saying "I'm going to make *insert character name here* only I'm going to use different colors and claim its mine!" Art theft is a problem on almost any amino, and "recolors" is a form of it. On this amino, you HAVE to credit the artist, otherwise, its ART THEFT. If you need an idea on what art theft is, it is uncredited art that you claim is yours. Here is a few examples of recoloring I found on Deviantart. The links to them will also be present.

You can tell this is a recolor because of the poorly colored-in lines. The neon cat does not fit in at all with this picture either.

This one is harder to tell if it is a recolor, but it is. The official artwork of Eternal Sailor Moon has some things turned completely black, such has her hair and earings.

But Eternal! What about coloring pages?

Coloring pages are quite different. That is official artwork the company makes so that you can color it in yourself. It isn't recoloring in the sense of art stealing. That's why coloring pages are for; for you to color in. Just don't go around claiming you made it.
