fan fiction. This is a thriller/horror story.

"Mommy?"

Jihyo looked at her son who had just called her. Although she was cooking, she always put her son first. Jihyo walked towards him leaving the legumes she was cutting on the kitchen counter. "Yes?"

Her son looked at his mother. "What is the red room?"

Jihyo froze as she heard what her son had to ask. "Who told you about it?"

The little boy raised and lowered his shoulders shrugging. It looked more like he didn't want the truth to be revealed than he didn't know. He looked at his mother, making direct eye . He was told at school that staring at someone would make them speak the truth. Actually, his friend said that who watches a lot of YouTube.

"The red room is nothing." Jihyo implied. "But don't ever mention it anywhere. Do you understand?" she added firmly. She would do what she had to do to protect her one and only son, even if this meant she had to lie. The boy nodded with a defeated look on his face. He couldn't call his mother a liar, so he decided to make the research himself.

After dinner, he kissed his mom goodnight and walked to his bedroom. It was a a medium sized room. The walls were blue and white and his bed was brown. His desk was located opposite of the bed right next to the white closets. A laptop was placed on the desk. He picked it up and sat down on his bed placing it on his lap carefully so that it wouldnt fall. He opened Google and searched.

"Red room."

The one and only result was a website.

He hesitantly clicked it.

It took him to a website. It was all red though. It had taken all over his screen. There was no X to get out of the site or a way to minimize the window. His whole screen had turned red. It was then he realized he had made a mistake. He tried to look away but he couldn't. It was as if the red imagery hypnotized him. As if he couldn't get out of its grasp. His brain couldn't comprehend though. To him, it was just... Red.

The next morning Jihyo walked in the room to wake him up. He had school that day. However, what Jihyo saw broke her in millions of little pieces.

Her son was laying on the floor motionless. Breathless. He had five stabs on his chest and a knife in his eye. Jihyo immediately knew what had happened. She looked all over the room for his laptop but it was nowhere to be seen. Broken, Jihyo fell on her knees crying. What else could she do at this point? She had no one. She called the police. She told them that a murder had taken place. Something she never thought she'd have to say ever again...

Many years ago... When Jihyo was still with Twice...

One day like any other, Jeongyeon was scrolling on TikTok when she saw this strange one about the "red room". They were on VLive and Jihyo was replying to comments from onces with Sana and Mina. Jeongyeon called Nayeon and showed her the video but she shrugged.

Jeongyeon simultaneously then turned to Jihyo. "Hey Jihyo?" she said to get her attention. Jihyo turned to look at Jeongyeon. "Hm?"

"What is the red room?" she asked.

Jihyo shrugged. "No idea. Never heard of it before." Sana, who was still looking at the comments of the live, started getting scared. "Whatever it is, it's not good."

"Why are you saying that?" Momo asked as she had stopped paying attention to the comments momentarily. Sana pointed at her phone screen to all the comments.

"No, stay as far away as you can from the red room"

"The red room scares me"

"No girls stay safe"

"The red room means nothing than danger"

Jeongyeon read all the comments. She looked at all the girls. "I think we should just listen to all the warnings and stay away!" said Momo. "What if it's dangerous whatever it is?"

"We should at least Google it. This way we can know what it is and stay away from it." Sana said trying to be rational. Jihyo nodded. "Sounds like a plan." she looked at the camera.

"Bye guys! We'll see you in our next live!" Jihyo started saying. Comments kept popping up to tell them to stay as far as they can from the red room. Jihyo stayed silent for a moment.

"Girls isn't the live over by now?" Nayeon walked in.

"That's what we're doing now." Jihyo replied. Jihyo said one last goodbye and turned the Live off. "Alright girls, soo-" she looked around. "Where's Momo?"

Everyone started looking around. "Did anyone see her walk away?" Sana asked. She looked at all the girls. They all had the same answer: No. "Nayeon?" Sana looked at her unnie. Nayeon shrugged. "I didn't see her." she implied. Jeongyeon looked at her phone. It was on the floor. When she picked it up and looked at the screen. It was nothing but that red screen. But it looked so addicting. Addicting enough so Jeongyeon couldn't look away.

Jihyo had this uneasy feeling. As if she was losing herself and felt overwhelmed by something else... Something different. "Let's go back to our dorms. I don't feel that well..." Jihyo muttered feeling dizzy.

Sana looked at Jeongyeon. "Jeongyeon unnie? Are you okay?" She tilted her head. But no response from Jeongyeon. "Jeongyeon!" Sana yelled.

Nayeon made her way next to Jeongyeon. "Dongsaeng? What happened?" She asked and looked at the screen too. Sana rolled her eyes. "Whatever. Let's go Jihyo." She said. Jihyo nodded and followed Sana to their dorm.

"Goodnight unnie." Sana said. "Goodnight." Jihyo replied and walked to her dorm. She laid down on her bed and closes her eyes. She fell asleep almost immediately.

Jihyo woke up with a terrible pain in her legs. As if she was walking all night, her legs were killing her. She yawned and walked outside only to see police officers gathered around something. Jihyo, confused, tried to look what they had circled. And what she saw she will never forget.

Jeongyeon and Nayeon were on the floor lying dead. Stabbed on the chest many times. The blood had made a pool around them. The police officers were investigating the crime area. Jihyo covered her mouth and immediately started tearing up. She looked around looking for the other girls. She saw Sana walking out of her dorm just then. Jihyo ran there and hugged Sana crying.

"Jihyo? W-what happened?" Sana started getting scared as she had seen the cops.

"Jeongyeon and N-nayeon-" Jihyo cried. She hugged Sana more tightly. Sana looked at the bodies when the police officers started to collect them. Sana was shocked and started crying too. "W-what happened?!" Sana said and hugged Jihyo back.

Jihyo didnt reply.

Momo walked out of her dorm with Dahyun. Sana looked at Momo and ran to her immediately. "Momo!!" She said. Dahyun looked at the whole situation with the murders.

Momo looked at Sana. "What ?" She asked. "W-where you last N-night? We were looking f-for you!" Sana whined. Momo raised and lowered her shoulders. "After the live ended everything feels... Blurry." She said.

The cops found a bloody bracelet which belonged to the guilty person. One of them approached Jihyo. "Do you know whose this is?" He asked. Jihyo nodded.

"Yes, I know. It belongs to..."
