Her first name means ’night’ which plays into that she is a goddess of darkness and night. Her last name is just the same as Odinson or Laufeyson, though since she isn't a son, she is Fremi’s daughter.

Lathys has had many nicknames through her life, some being loving and showing endearment, some cruel that were made to ridicule her. To her few friends she is called Lath or Moon. To those wished to ridicule her she was called crater maker, farm ruiner, criminal, beast. One nickname was very special to her, one only her mother could call her, Little Andromeda, one of the few things that could calm Lathys down in her fits.

Lathys is very recognizable because of her porcelain skin. Some coveted her for her skin, for some it gave them another chance to call her a freak. Contrasting her pale skin, she has very pigmented dark blue eyes which her mother always told her held the night sky. Lathys’s hair has almost never been cut, so as you can imagine it is quite long. As for colour, it is a very true black and for bangs she has (korean ) full baby bangs. Moving to her torso and lower body, Lathys isn’t necessarily ‘curvy’ per se. She has a very rectangle body, and is quite skinny, though she does have a bit of upper body strength for fighting reasons. Overall, she does have a pretty small frame and build.

About the Character

Personality:

Lathys isn’t necessarily the one to brighten up a room when she walks in. Many people, even her father, considered her to be one of the most miserable people they knew. She’s not that outgoing and won’t believe you if you complement her on anything she does. She can be very paranoid at times, but this has given her light to her true friends and she rarely has a heartbreak. In short, she’s paranoid and anxious, but will know soon enough if you’re worth her time.

Fear(s):

Because of her aforementioned paranoia, Lathys is scared of many things such as something bad happening to her moon or the stars she loves dearly. She’s scared of the townspeople because of how they view her, but the one thing that terrifies Lathys the most, is becoming evil. When you master in dark magic you usually become evil and full of hate, and Lathys is terrified of that. She doesn’t hate anyone and she doesn’t wish too, she doesn’t want to let her dark magic take over her and become the thing the townspeople see her as.

Likes:

Lathys, being the homebody she is, enjoys her work, hobbies, and all the small things in her life. Her work, making the stars, drawing and planning out constellations are the things that make her the happiest. She takes memories that have given her joy throughout her life and places the story in the sky, allowing others to interpret them how they please. Seeing others seek out new constellations and track the phases of the moon is something she not only likes, but loves.

Habit(s):

While others may bite their nails or twirl their hair, Lathys has a quite unusual habit. Allow me to explain; Lathys, being quiet anxious, can have episodes of extreme doubt and sadness. This causes her to have a session of crying and wailing which can effect the moon and the tides. Of course causing many terrible things to possibly happen such as the tides to come higher and somewhat flood the lower parts of Asgard, heavy rains which can destroy crops and even roofs of houses.

Flaw(s):

Of course she is always doubtful, which can sometimes be annoying, and she (rarely) has terrible mood swings which cause her to express her anger or sadness in the night sky which may cause blue moons, eclipses, a starless night, or even a blood moon.

Talent(s):

Her talents really only sum up to her powers, changing the moon phase, placing the stars in a different position almost every night. One that children always lived when she was little was her ability to control shadows and make figures from them. Now, these figures wouldn’t disappear if you touched them or fade away, the were just like the real thing. In example, if she formed a rock it would feel and weigh just like a rock.

Because of certain things that have happened in the past and may currently happen, most people give her a bad reputation.

Because of Lathys’s past, no one has ever truly given her the thought of a significant other, so she has met ever really had a love interest.

Friend(s):

Friends aren’t an easy thing to come by for Lathys, so if she ever sees a chance, she’ll try and take, but i can’t say she always succeeds. In the times she has truly succeeded, she has made friends of Baldr, Loki, and Iðunn

Enemy(ies):

In a very different situation from friends, Lathys has made quite a few enemies, the biggest one being the townspeople who have a strong hatred towards her. Some of the gods and goddesses she has found an enemy in are Freyja, Odin, Thor, and Þjazi (pronounced Thiassi.)

Relationship(s):

Iðunn

Just like any other god or goddess, Lathys was always eager to have Idunn’s apples of youth and beauty, but unlike the others, she found conversation when she went for her apples. Soon, they became good friends with a strong trust between them.

Loki

Loki, the Troublemaker himself, he liked teasing Lathys, messing with her stars and such. Sometimes he would come to visit her and see how she was coming along. When the two were little, he would come see how she was doing with her magic; Lathys would even show her the spells her mother taught her.

Baldr/Baldur

Baldr, being one of the wisest gods, saw Lathys for what she knew and her smarts. Though they are very different in physical sense and power sense, Baldr respects Lathys for her ideas and wisdom and sees her as his friend.

Nike

When Lathys was in the dungeon, Nike would come visit her when she was ignored by her siblings. The two would talk and find out each other’s interest and not before long they became close friends.

Lathys’s relationship with her father was quite terrible, he thought she was inadequate and useless. Lathys never looked up to him, in fact, he was her main source of anger. It was him who led Lathys to her quick demise.

Elise was a true angel, she loved her children with all her heart no matter how many quarrels they had. Lathys learned pretty much everything she knows now from her mother. Their bond was unbreakable.

Daughter to Fremi Fjällson and Elise Snöyrasdottir, wife to none; alive.

My stars, Lathys and Bronwyn’s relationship is truly made of vibranium. Lathys learned how to use weapons, how to make her own arrows, how to shoot a bow all from her sister. The two almost never fought and their love and respect for each other was apparent. Every pain Bronwyn went through Lathys was their to comfort her and vice versa. Though Bronwyn is longer on Asgard, the two would do anything for each other.

Familial Background:

Lathys’ family was known to be the pets of the throne. Fremi knew Odin well and the two were quite good friends. Fremi did anything for Odin and Odin himself even let Fremi’s children train in the castle. Because of this relationship, Lathys’s family was quite rich and she did get the chance to make acquaintances with the royal family. Eventually, Fremi had to resign from his work with Odin and live on his own with his money and family.

Character Background:

Lathys was born December 22 into a very rich family and the youngest of two. She lived in the middle of Asgard with her mother, father, and older sister. She was about 10 when she first started to accumulate powers and such. The first power she mastered was the power to manipulate shadows. She started with forming rocks and small animals and them quickly grew into making bigger things from dogs, to sheep, she donkeys, to finally a fully formed, disable horse. At age 20, which is still quite young, she discovered her true powers of handling the moon and stars. Lathys became the favourite daughter at this point, her sister not being any sort of goddess. Lathys was joyed at the thought of being able to control the moon and stars, create constellations, change the moon at her will. With this new discovery she also found that in some minuscule way she controlled the tides and the rain. As soon as she found out this news she told her mother and her mother told her father. One thing about Fremi... he was all about work and staying focused. So when he heard that Lathys hadn’t been focusing on her main power it made him furious. This was the point in Lathys’ life where she broke, emotionally and physically. The words of true hatred and disappointment from her father shattered her and made her into the Lathys we know today. From this point on Fremi did nothing but ridicule Lathys on her work and constantly survey her and made sure she did it correctly. At this time Lathys is currently around 60 or 70 and she was in a very heated fight with her father. Now, fights like these weren’t uncommon for the two but this one was life changing. Fremi became so disappointed in his youngest child that he disowned her and sent her to live on the streets. Of course no one could do anything, her mother couldn’t fight it and her sister had no say in the matter. Lathys of course had to leave, she became permanently paranoid and always anxious. It seemed that she cried days on end and never stopped. One night it was so bad she began to wail and sob and with this outpouring of emotions she moved the moon closer and the tides rose, rain began to pour, the rain soon change to hail and it began to destroy almost everything. Crops, roofs, and even some animals were terribly hurt. When morning came about two days later Lathys wasn’t even sure what happened, she was dazed and confused, wandering the beaten roads watching the farmers and family’s yell at her from their houses. Only then did she realize that all this damage was her fault and before she could apologize she was thrown in prison, the dungeon, locked away in a cell for what seemed like eternity. Only being visited once or twice a day when someone brought her food. Only was she let out when her powers proved drained and essentially useless. Lathys was forced to live on the outskirts of the city as her family home had been torn down since her mother and fathers death and her sister’s disappearance. This leaves us with current Lathys, living in her small home on the edge of the city, alone and somewhat happy.
