BTS receives another certification, this time from Japan. According to RIAJ, BTS has ed AKB48, Keyakizaka46, Nogizaka46 & ARASHI as one of million sellers of 2019 with single "Lights / Boy With Luv"!

It's BTS' first MILLION certification in Japan since debut!

They are now the first male foreign artist in Japan certified as million sellers by RIAJ.

The last Japanese Single by a male artist to reach 1M was released nearly 12 years ago by Akikawa Masafumi in August 2007

BTS’s Japanese single “Lights/Boy With Luv” has been certified as a million seller by the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ)!

On August 9 at midnight KST, the RIAJ announced that BTS achieved this feat with their single and they are the first foreign male artist ever to do so. “Lights/Boy With Luv” is one of only five releases so far in 2019 to reach a million in sales according to the RIAJ.

“Lights/Boy With Luv” is also the bestselling Japanese single by a foreign artist both in of first day and first week sales.
