Step #13

Let's take this lantern to the next level with some details! Cut a piece of paper to be 1.5 cm by 14 cm. Make two strips

Color the strips with a blue marker (you can also use blue paper instead)

Take the red strip of paper that we saved earlier and tape it to the back of one of the blue strips of paper. (An extra step you can do is measure 7 cm from the red strip and mark a line on the blue strip. This will make it more even later.)

Step #16

Now take the blue strip with the red attached and tape the bare end of the red strip to the blue strip. Add a piece of double sided tape to the blue strip an wrap it around the very top ligning up the edge. I recommend doing this slowly and carefully so there isn't any hanging off the top.

Add a piece of double sided tape to the second blue strip an wrap it around the very top ligning up the edge. I recommend doing this slowly and carefully so there isn't any hanging off the top. If there is any execs paper hanging off the edge, just trim it off.

Step #16 (optional)

Now draw a star shape on some white paper and cut it out. You can also use a star shaped hole punch like me to cut out approximately 16 stars (this could be different depending on the size of the punch or the lantern if you choose to adjust sizes.

Now tape the stars around the blue strips and your lantern is complete!
