xmas voldemort artwork | aurora ☃

         aloha! i'm aurora and i'm presenting to

         you... my first blog for death eaters

         official. it's an artwork of voldemort,

         but with a christmas twist. now let's

         get on with the blog, enjoy!

         i used a 4b faber castell graphite pencil

         for sketching and finishing (so

         basically everything) the final artwork.

         for most of the inspiration sketches i

         used ballpoint pen, because that helps

         me keep the sketch lines so that i can

         still see them later.

         i always start drawing faces with a

         circle so that what you can (later on)

         see in the progress shots and

         inspiration sketches, which is why I

         kinda looks weird. i draw faces a lot

         and most of the times i draw a little

         blob for the nose, but because voldemort

         has a 'snake like nose' i just drew it

         that way. the rest came a bit naturally,

         although i just drew stripes instead of

         eyebrows cause he doesn't really have

         eyebrows. in the end when i was almost

         done i felt like it missed something so

         i looked at other drawings i have made

         and figured that it was missing a bit of

         darkness, so i simply added a gradient

         like thingy in the background.

         i guess i could say this is a no

         reference drawing, i mostly doodled the

         inspiration sketches during classes so i

         just did it according to what it all

         looks like in my head. i think this made

         the drawing more interesting because

         it's not exactly like voldemort.
