She turned around and kept running. She ran far away until she was too tired to ran anymore. She found a broken robot and sat down, leaning her back against it. She knew those men were after her so she tried to stay silent. She stood up and peeked at what was happening. The scientists were there, looking for her. She made a step back to hide again but she stepped on a rock - or whatever that was - and made a sudden sound.

One day, Twice had been training for many hours. On dance practice, Tzuyu had a terrible headache. She excused herself and walked to her dorm to rest. She fell asleep on her bed but woke up in a foreign place. She was inside a box which was locked up. She could see outside though cause it was transparent.

She was on a weird place which resembled a graveyard but had boxes on the walls. She could see asleep Sana on the box opposite of hers. She seemed to be laughing and talking although she was asleep. Confused, Tzuyu touched the box. Somehow, the transparent thing that held her in disappeared and the fluid she was in got spilled all over the place.

"Chou Tzuyu ed away."

A robotic voice could be heard say from the megaphones. Tzuyu looked behind her and noticed the box had closed up again and refilled with fluid. She was confused and scared, obviously. She heard voices approaching and her first reaction was to turn around to see. Those people were talking in Chinese, which meant she was in China. But what happened? The scientists looked at Tzuyu.

"One of our experiments woke up."

"Wow, finally someone understood that their lives have been all a lie."

Little did the scientists know that Tzuyu could understand. She decided not to reply until they said more.

"What went wrong though? Speak to her in English."

The one yelled at the other.

"Hello girl."

Tzuyu froze. Her English wasn't fluent. She would get caught if she spoke to them in English. Her first reaction was to pretend she was Korean.

"Annyeong."

The scientists looked at each other and then back at Tzuyu.

"Korean..."

One of them said. He clicked a button on a machine he had in his pocket and another scientist walked there. He looked at Tzuyu, who was pretending to be confused.

"What happened?"

"That girl is Korean. Talk to her!" the other said firmly.

"Hello, do you know how you got here?"

"No."

The Korean scientist looked at the Chinese scientists and translated what she said in response. Tzuyu looked at them nervously pretending to not know what they were saying... She was a good actress after all.

"Come with me."

The Korean scientist said. Tzuyu nodded and followed him. As she looked at her surroundings she noticed she was inside a huge hallway full of people in boxes. She saw all of her friends. Nayeon, Momo, Jeongyeon, San, Jihyo, Mina, Dahyun and Chaeyoung. Even her parents and old friends from Taiwan. She walked out of that hallway. Looking up, she saw a label.

Asia

Looking around, Tzuyu noticed there was one for each continent. Oceania, Europe, Africa, America, even Antarctica! Obviously she was confused. Then she put her brain to work trying to think of a rational explenation. The scientists started speaking in Chinese again.

"So now she knows her whole life was a lie?"

"She probably hasn't understood anything. She looks so lost."

"But if we let her go back and she tells everything?"

"No, bad idea."

"Then what do we do with her now? Do we get rid of her? None of the subjects can know what's going on."

"Yeah, that'd be the best thing to do."

Tzuyu froze. Fight or flight, fight or flight, fight or flight?!

Flight!

Tzuyu gave them a dreadful look when they looked at her. She ran away. She knew it was risky but she did. She ran for her life. She ran through hallways and hallways full of people. She finally found the exit to that place but when she looked outside her jaw dropped.

What she saw wasn't China as we know it. It was a destroyed world. Broken robots were everywhere, and the ones that weren't broken were picking the old ones up and throwing them in the trash. It was like the worst scenario of the future. Looking back at the building she read the sign.

Life

Everything came together. The scientists made humans in there and made them live in a fake world. In her world. In the world we all know of.

Back with twice in "reality"...

Jihyo walked inside her and Tzuyu's dorm and sat down on a chair in there. She looked at Tzuyu and grinned.

"She's dead asleep."

She joked and smiled. But as she looked at her she realized that she looked like she wasn't breathing. Confused and now scared, Jihyo approached Tzuyu and tapped her shoulder.

"Tz-tzuyu?"

Tzuyu was turned to the side, and as Jihyo tapped her shoulder she turned her so that she'd face the ceiling. Jihyo put her hand on Tzuyu's heart so see if it was beating. And it wasn't. She covered her mouth and fell on her knees crying. Everything about Tzuyu seemed to be dead.

"This can't be happening, can it?!"

Jihyo ran outside and rushed to tell the other and PD-nim about Tzuyu's seemingly death. What will happen to twice now? They certainly couldn't continue with one member dead, could they?! What would happen without their not-so-sweet maknae tzuyu? At first the thought Jihyo was pulling a prank on them and laughed. But then they realized she was being serious and rushed to Jihyo and Tzuyu's dorm. Everything seemed blurred in the girl's memories after that. In the funeral they set up for Tzuyu. The decisions they made about the group. Everything seemed blurred, as if they didn't want to it. Obviously they didn't.

Little did they know that Tzuyu wasn't really dead and none of them were really alive...
