New Beginnings || POTW

Hello hello one and all. This is my first time going at this so please bear with me and enjoy. Note I got the idea whilst playing Marvel Rivals. Plus we barely know much of her background or character as she was sort of created during the craze of singers and groups like that. But enjoy!

The crowd went wild. They always did when she went on stage. The screams, the claps, the lights of glow sticks as they moved in rhythm to the beat. Her movements never stopping as she had the routine packed down flat. But yet, that what it was a routine.

Luna Snow. An idol and super hero, a double life originally. Many knew her as a singer who only wanted to bring music to the world. But yet, it felt like it became a far fetch one honestly. Especially when she hadn’t been a hero in a while.

While yes, many were happy as snow fell and covered the stage and people. As the last note of her song rang out causing a massive roar from the crowd… she wasn’t. Yes, she liked seeing them happy, but yet why wasn’t she happy?

The music stopped as one final bow from her as she left the stage. The crowd still so wild for more, but she was for once not up for an encore. Sadly to the screaming crowd.

”Luna! Babes you were great!” Her manager crowed as always. “The crowds are eating ya up as always!”

She seem to grimace at the comment. Seeming to be silent as she slowly nodded now. Walking back, and away hearing the shouts fade off. It was a mild relief for her.

She lost track of how long she had been an idol. Since she was 12? 13? And currently she was on the cusps of adulthood now. Which would lead to her being irrelevant, and the next young star to rise up. Thinking of that made her sick to her stomach, all her hard work… gone once she hits a certain age.

She made it to her sanctuary: Her change room. Taking a seat in front of her mirror, staring at herself. She still looked like herself, but yet… she felt less like it. Pausing as her pair of heterochromatic eyes shifted to a photo she had tucked in the vanity. Agents of Atlas… a team she had been a part of a bit back. It was amazing honestly!

One team member and her had a moment, a kiss. It made her weirdly happy back then, but she was not allowed to be like that with anyone. And maybe that was why it hurt sometimes. It was in the past… right?

That was till her phone buzzed off, quickly checking her phone as she saw a familiar name. Seeing his name made all those deep feelings resurface. Should she risk it?

Eyes glancing at the door, as she thought it over. She had made people happy… but what abut her? Replying would lead to something else, she knew it. Would she risk it?

Thinking of all of the pain, the constant lurking of her managers. The rules, the strictness, the harsh reality, perhaps it was envy that singers in other places did not have this harsh of expectations.

This was her chance for her to be happy for once. To maybe start anew, reconnect with her hero side as she barely did saving anymore. Since her managers decided to pull her from risking her life after the last time she did.

Fingers typing away as she got up from her seat. She left the change room now, pushing past her managers who were about to enter her room. Making them look utterly confused, “Where are you going? You have…” before they could finish Luna herself interrupted, her ice forming around her feet.

”Forget that! I’m being a hero!”

For once… she was gonna make herself happy for once.
