Damion is typing

Xey/Cey/It || Masc only please

Impeding my mind I hear

Itching and scratching

The biting of nails

The harpsichords and discords

The atonality scales

Each little noise

And each little tap

Each little movement

And each little scratch

*•…•*

This way and that way

Why won’t it stop?

Why does it bother me

When it usually does not

*•…•*

And you can’t see the way I react

To this amount

Of movement, of noise

Usually kids that shout

*•…•*

“I can manage, can’t it?”

I thought to myself

But that thought was soon packed away

On the back of the highest shelf

It brings me back to those noises

Those taps

That don’t seem to bother

Where I can happily listen

where people talk

to one another

*•…•*

’Cause overloaded, the human mind

Just cannot function

Confused, and dazed

There is no correct action

*•…•*

but on a better day I hear laughing and joking

people setting up their sails

Harmony, and a symphony

Beautiful minor scales

*•…•*

And while it may take a while

for the scale to return to major

I know I’ll be able to survive

Even though the price, I may wager

Stanza eight was so hard ya’ll- at least ten minutes was spent trying to find a happy parallel to stanza one. And I almost cried finding something to rhyme with major in stanza nine istg

This isn’t a vent, but it is based off the very rare moments I’m experiencing a sensory overload. Usually though it’s a mix of lights and people moving
