Member Survey + Mod Meeting | Follow-Up

So we've completed the meeting! This post will cover the topics we discussed that we are currently able to share. As of right now, only one thing is being left a secret surprise because we want to wait until we get our new Curators in to launch it.

Guidelines

We will be doing some small updates to our Guidelines, in relation to multiple things in this post. We will release an announcement when they're officially updated and implemented, besides our Spam Policy which is fully updated and implemented.

Chat Rules

Our chat rules are currently a work in progress! They will be more streamlined, so every chat is not drastically different. There will still be room for differences, but not as much as there is now.

Voting for Co-Agent

As the Co-Agent position (designed to ensure whoever our Agent is does not abuse their power, along with other reasons) creates a next-in-line for the official ownership of the Amino, we have decided that the Mod Team will vote on this in the future. As it is for curators and new leaders, we will do votes within the Mod Team so the selection is always fair and earned.

Being More Open As A Team

A new practice we will be having going forward is being more open as a team. Many mod teams on different aminos create a huge divide between them and their , and unfortunately that has been made due to the behavior of some past that are no longer with us. So in the future, we're going to be doing our best to break down that wall. These posts, announcing our meeting and updating you about it, are both in the spirit of that (:

1. Updating and Sharing Moderation Handbook

The Mod Team has a set of private guidelines (a Handbook) we follow outside of the [Guidelines]. The Handbook has been outdated for about two years now due to the aforementioned staff and management style changes. We will be updating these and will also share a copy with the community.

2. Mod Protocols

Some of our protocols will be written out into Wikis and posted. The ones we are currently thinking of are How We Avoid Bias and our Voting System.

Spam Policy

Our spam policy has now been updated. Our 3 Sentence Rule stated that all posts must have a minimum of 3 sentences. Now, the rule is that you can't have more than 3 posts within 24 hours. This rule, by being announced in this post and fully updated in the Guidelines, is now in full effect. After one week, we will be releasing an official form to hear from you about the turnout of this rule.
