You there! Fancy yourself a welcoming specialist? Are you that one person that can't go without throwing yourself at everyone's page? Or are you someone who's interested in looking for something to the time and to connect a little more with some of the staff in the Amino?
You're in luck! Consider ing the Welcoming Committee!
-----
The welcoming committee is a group of dragons who give a loving, warm welcome to all new of this here Amino, maybe making some friends along the way, and give positive vibes throughout the community. The main work is of course, welcoming new to the Amino when they (who would have guessed), but other smaller jobs can also help out both the staff and experience interacting and enjoying their time in here. Here's the main list of jobs that you can expect to be asked or encouraged to do as a member of the Welcome Committee:
-----
Welcoming New
It's not required to welcome every single new member that spawns in immediately, but everyone does deserve a nice introduction to the Amino, yeah? Look around every once and a while, and if you see some new faces that haven't received much love, go and give them some. Even if another Welcome Committee member has already welcomed someone, it doesn't hurt to share more love.
Answer General Questions about Guidelines/Rules
As the first people that most new dragons will meet, having decent knowledge of the rules and operations of the place will be most beneficial! You don't have to know all the in-and-outs and know every single line of code that makes up every letter of the rules, but knowing most of it to properly inform newer of the dos and don'ts of the Amino will be very useful to you!
Event Assistance
Not as necessary, but helping recruit people for events to make them more lively and fun would be most appreciated! It could also be a fun way for newer to get involved in the community and truly feel like a part of it. Even if you don't recruit many people, any extra eyes and talents on server events, holiday specials, and just general Amino shenanigans will bring the place to life!
Be The Extra Eyes for the Staff
Since you'll be wandering around the Amino corners frequently, it would be most appreciated to keep an eye out fory any issues or problems that may be lurking around. You aren't required to do anything about them other than alert the right staff/leaders about the stuff that you see. Scammers, rule-breaking, broken posts, or anything that could hinder the performance of the Amino. I'll give you a cookie if you do it so... Do it. (Please?)
-----
Enrollment Requirements
We can't just let everyone in the Welcome Committee, whether it be that some people don't want to do it, or the right people aren't doing it, or someone's cat decides to welcome a random member by pretending to be a Nigerian Prince wanting their credit card information. So here are the requirements for becoming a part of this committee:
-----
Must be a semi-active or active member.
Must have been in the Amino for 6 or more months.
Preferably aged 17 or older.
No major rule-breaking or troubling history in the Amino.
Actually wanting to do the role they're assigned.
It may seem weird to say, but some people really just don't do what they're supposed to even if they have the job so like... Do it por favor.
-----
Resumes/Request Forms
If you would like to apply or shoot your shot at a spot in the Welcome Committee, you can post your resume right here on the comments of this post! As soon as someone is available, a staff member will get in with you, whether through this post or PMs, to let you know if you got the spot. Please copy these questions in your resume and answer them honestly. Here are the questions to answer;
-----
(1) How long have you been a part of this Amino?
(2) What got you interested in this position?
(3) How are you around new people?
(4) How active can you be/are you?
(5) Do you meet the preferred age requirement? (Don't have to specify age if you wouldn't like to, unless you're younger than 17.)
(6) What's your favorite icebreaker? (Line to introduce yourself to others)
(7) What are some things you think you would do well as a Committee member?
-----
Once you post your resume, give it a bit of time for a staff member to get to it. As much as we would like to have neurochips to instantly get notified of everything and everything that goes on, we unfortunately can't do that. If you have any other questions or concerns about these or any other posts, feel free to reach out to a staff member or leader (including myself) for assistance!
Have a good day, dragons!
