PSA: NOT A DATING AMINO

I’m about to address a very serious issue so please read till the very end. Lately we’ve noticed a a sudden and fast increase in the number of - great but this has brought about issues we have to inform you all about.

As the title states, this is NOT an amino for dating or forming romantic relationships. It’s a skincare amino where we talk about skincare (you guessed that right).

If you come here seeking to find a girlfriend/boyfriend then this is not the amino for you. Please leave or shift your focus to the appropriate topic.

:warning: What happens if you refuse to listen to this PSA? :warning:

If I or anyone on the leadership team notice someone refusing to listen to this it will result in an immediate ban. There are a lot of young people and even minors in this amino and trying to form any sort of sexual or romantic relationship is illegal if one party is over the age of 18. We care about every safety and this is something we will not tolerate.

:warning: What can you do to help? :warning:

We can only do so much on the leadership team. So we will need everyone on board and actively making sure this amino stays safe and friendly. If no one on the leadership team is online and on a public chat and you notice someone trying to start a conversation that hints at forming a non-platonic relationship please flag the message and report them immediately. Block them if they try to you and we’ll take care of the rest.

If they you privately first then flag their message or report them, then proceed to block them.

:x: Do not give out personal information such as your home address, your full name, your social media.

:x: Don’t send photos of your face or body to them.

Go to their page, on the top right corner you’ll see three dots. Click on it and you’ll see a drop down menu show up. Choose the appropriate action.

While we try to actively look out for these people, some of them will slip through so we need everyone to help.

Thank you to hazi for bringing this to my attention. You can change your chat settings and restrict certain people from messaging you. If you’re interested in how to do that the steps are below:

On the sidebar, scroll down towards the end and you’ll see the setting option, click it.

Then you’ll see some other setting options under ‘For current amino’ . You should select the one that says ‘allow inbound chat requests’.

Then just pick the option you feel the lost comfortable with from the 3 options given.
