Hello, lovely readers and writers! How are you today? We are close to Valentine's Day and whether you're celebrating or not, you can't deny that love is in the air! Here is to love of any kind, friends! Make sure you do something nice today.

I don't know about you, but I love a good romantic story, especially one that doesn't follow the flow. Give me diversity, give me flaws, give me angst; I'm here for the waves and the chaos. Today's Weekly Challenge was inspired by these romances that were, are, or could potentially develop into, something extraordinary. Let's get to it, boom!

Weekly Challenge: Unconventional Love-[C]Hello, lovely readers and writers! How are you today? We are close to Valentine's Da

This is the prompt for our readers:

Tell us about some romances that remained unforgettable to you, but for unconventional reasons.

A couple that should have been together but weren't? An overrated romance? A redudant love story that added nothing to the plot? Let us know about some love stories that didn't follow the norm. Don't forget the spoiler warnings!

We've all talked about love stories that are are fond of, so in this Weekly Challenge I wanted to shed some light on some romances that weren't given the attention they deserved, for some reason or another. Also, if you want, you could resurrect some romamces that were butchered by the author far too soon -you know, some ships that sadly didn't sail. Have fun, my friends!

This is the prompt for our writers:

Write something based on love. Make it quirky, funny, sarcastic, etc. Alternatively, what do you think makes a romance story successful or not? Some examples?

I wanted to keep the prompt for the writers creative, so you are free to keep your inspirational juices flowing. If you aren't in the mood to write something, could you tell us what, in your opinion, makes a romantic (sub)plot successful or totally forgettable? Any examples and/or tips and tricks on what fellow writers could avoid in their own books? Thank you for your contribution, pals!

Okay, I can't think of a unconventional romance so I'll write about what makes a good romance.
