Heyo! Here’s how to add color to a photo RIGHT FROM AMINO!
1-Pick a photo and insert it into your desired post (click here to see how to insert an image) I’ll use this photo for the example
2- click right here:
3- Tap “Edit”
4- scroll over to “Draw”
5- DRAW!
6- press “Apply” and “Done”!

I think it’s just the type of phone you have. There is an app called ImageEditor that is the exact same editor, just not in Amino
