Sky here from the mod team to present the weekend challenge of July 31st!

I hope you all are doing well this week. It's been sort of a messy week for most of us, but I hope you're all holding together and staying healthy!

For this week's challenge, I'll be playing off of one of my previous challenges, Into Insanity. For a gist of that challenge, I tasked you all with the goal of taking a regular character and making them into the villain. For this challenge, we'll be doing the opposite of that!

Have you ever imagined what it would be like to have Ganondorf as the hero? Or to have Ghirahim as the master sword? That's what I'll be giving you all the challenge of creating! Villains in the Zelda universe typically have a gimmick or intention that they wish to unleash upon the rest of Hyrule. Some characters who are much smaller can also be classified as villains, like the bosses of each dungeon. We'll be taking their premise and putting it on its head.

Your challenge is to take any villain from Zelda and make them into a hero, or changing their character to be an aid to Link. You have the power to make your favorite baddies into the one in charge of saving the princess. Maybe changing into a hero also reflects on to their design, so you can change them to be much less intimidating!

To answer any potential questions as well before they're asked, you're welcome to use your OC instead for this challenge if you'd like! The only requirement is to change them from evil to good.

Try to redesign the character of your choosing to match a hero's! You can try to portray them as less intimidating, and more pure and friendly. Or, if you'd rather, you can draw a portrayal of them doing something heroic and having a change of heart.

For this, you can write about how your villain changed for the better! Give them backstory, describe what lead them to turn over a new leaf, or write about a scene where they help those in need or aid Hyrule in some way.

As always, by next Friday I'll be choosing one winner for this challenge! You will receive a rupee, which can be redeemed after collecting six for a custom title. You can participate in the challenge beyond that point, however it will no longer be eligible for the rupee. You can read more about our rupee system here!
