A date I’ll never forget.
Something had happened at home that left me completely shattered. I was overwhelmed, silently crying, feeling like the world around me had gone quiet. No one knew how much pain I was holding inside.
That’s when my cousin — a BTS fan — came to sit beside me.
She didn’t say anything. She just played a song.
It was “Boy In Luv.”
I didn’t understand the lyrics. I didn’t know what they were singing about.
But somehow… it comforted me.
Their voices, the beat, the energy — it felt like they were pulling me out of the dark.
That was my first moment with BTS.
A moment that felt like a hand reaching out when I needed it most.
I asked, “Who are they?”
And that simple question led me into a world that changed my life.

I began to explore more — their music, their journey, their interviews, and stories.
The more I learned, the more I felt connected.
And then… I heard J-Hope’s story.
The way he fought through struggles, how he chased his dreams even when the world doubted him — it moved me.
He was once unsure, scared, and almost gave up.
But he didn’t.
He chose to keep going.
He chose hope — and became the sunshine for millions.
That’s when I realized something:
If BTS, if J-Hope, could rise again and again…

BTS didn’t just give me music.
They gave me comfort, strength, a reason to smile.
They showed me that it’s okay to feel lost.
That pain doesn’t make us weak.
That healing takes time — and that we don’t have to go through it alone.
Even now, whenever I feel low, I go back to that day…
June 8, 2014.
The day BTS came into my life — and stayed.
Some might say it’s silly. Some might call it “just a phase” or say “you’re overthinking it.”
But this is real.
This is the truest thing that’s ever happened in my life.
This is the day I was truly introduced to BTS — not just as a band, but as my safe place.
And no matter how much time es, that feeling will always be mine.
To Anyone Reading This
If you’re here, maybe BTS has been your comfort too.
Maybe you’ve cried with their lyrics.
Or found peace in their smiles.
Whatever your story is — I hope you hold it close.
Because this bond we share as ARMYs?
It’s real.
