Whatever happened on Twitter last night (now edited and up to date)

I know multiple people already made posts about this but it's too good for me not to talk about it.

It started when the twitter for a Yo-kai Watch reanimated project tweeted about getting #SaveYokaiWatch trending.

From what I saw most people were clowning on the hashtag at first. Until it actually did end up trending for multiple hours.

Eventually some of the big people in the community got in on it, namely Abdallah and Johne.

Chuggaaconroy tweeted about it too, and although I don't really know the guy seeing someone who's verified and has over 200k twitter followers talk positively about Yo-kai Watch is something else.

But what's most amazing of all the trend even spread to some people who worked on the English version of the Anime.

Please this doesn't mean anything for the show itself!

It's good to know that the people who worked on the anime would still like to continue it, but whether it does or not isn't their decision to make!

Nevertheless it was still an experience to see this play out, and it's the most attention I've seen Yo-kai Watch get in the west in a long while.

I doubt it will change anything for the series in general really, but I also saw people show interest in it because of this trend, so it's a win for us either way.

And even twitter legend @_Spenjo_ tweeted about it! Can you believe that? I thought that guy only tweets about ARMS!

Yoichi Kato, screenwriter of the anime, acknowledged the fact that it was trending in America.

The PR for Yo-kai Watch :musical_note: liked the aforementioned tweets.

This means someone within the company knows what was going on. At this rate I might end up eating my earlier words about this not changing anything, but still nothing is confirmed.

Yo-kai Watch Reanimated has now also started the #SaveLevel5US hashtag, and while it hasn't gotten as much attention, it's not nothing either.
