This is Nomad! Hope you are all doing well today! I'm back with a new Chapter of Redemption: A Splat Force Story!

Have you settled down with the new group yet? If the answer is yes then expect some changes to the team by the end of this Chapter.

Anyways, now that we've settled down, we can now see them in action as they march their way towards the location of Sargent Gunn in an attempt to save him. Will things go their way? Judging by the story you are now reading, it is safe to say that you should expect the vilest and most disgusting outcome.

So without further ado, let's get into this!

:warning: WARNING: THE FOLLOWING CHAPTER CONTAINS STRONG, NO, HYPER VIOLENCE AND GORE, STRONG LANGUAGE, AND INSANELY DISTURBING IMAGERY. PLEASE PROCEED WITH CAUTION! :warning:

C H A P T E R  4 : D I R T Y W O R K

Back at the campsite, Mr. Fisk and Led were woken up by the sound of distant thumping. They had no idea what it was until they noticed that Bruce was missing. Led approached the tree that Bruce laid by. The torn-off blanket tried flying off in the wind but got stuck in a bush.

"It appears your friend has gone awall."

Mr. Fisk said. His voice woke up Bee.

"Someone's gone missing?!"

They yelled out loud, waking the rest of the team. Immediately, after the team had woken up...

B E E P , B E E P , B E E P ! ! !

One of the placed traps had gone off, causing a miniature alarm to blast. The alarm only lasted two seconds before getting destroyed. Mr. Fisk got out a shotgun from his bag and pointed it towards where the alarm went off, he began charging it as the mysterious figure jumped forward, revealing himself to be the Hammerhead Shark himself.

Shauna screamed at Bruce's sudden arrival and began shivering under her sheets. Mr. Fisk lowered his weapon.

"Bruce, where were you?"

Led asked.

"Shark Kingdom."

He answered. His answer caused a rift between the group as if they hadn't had enough already.

"The shark's betrayed us!"

Bee panicked, encouraging Mr. Fisk to shoot him.

"I mean...He came back. I don't really care though..."

Carson commented, sharing his viewpoint.

"Everyone, stop talking!"

Mr. Fisk turned to yell at the team. Once they were silent, he turned back to the Shark.

"You, explain yourself!"

"You might want sit down."

Bruce replied.

"It long story."

5 M I N U T E S L A T E R . . .

The whole group once again sat in a circle. Everyone was looking at Bruce in disbelief, especially Led, who had known him the longest.

"Okay, you're telling me that all this time, your real name was Nanaue? And also, that you were the older brother of KING SALAZAR, MEANING THAT YOU'RE ROYALTY?!"

He asked. Bruce calmly and slowly nodded, causing Led to scoff.

"Fuck off, Bruce! There is no way I'm ever supposed to believe that I'm allied with a fucking PRINCE!"

"Wait, you didn't know? I thought you two were besties?"

Bee said.

"No! We are not besties! Fuck, we're barely even friends!"

Led yelled back, making Bee's eyes widen.

"Me not friend?"

Bruce asked, his voice sounding mildly hurt.

"No! You not friend!"

Led told him.

"But me live in your home!"

Bruce pointed out, only to get dismissed once again.

"Yeah, because we had nowhere else to put you, we couldn't put you in a pet shop, o-or a zoo! They wouldn't let you five miles from a zoo because you'd eat everything!"

He replied before a sudden realization came to his mind.

"Oh, by the way, did I ever mention that I had a PRINCE LIVING IN MY BACK YARD! A prince who is...How old are you, Bru- Na- I don't know..."

"Call me Bruce."

He clarified before moving on to his age.

"One-hundred-twenty."

Led's mouth dropped in disbelief.

"Y-You're one-hundred-twenty years old?!"

He asked. Bruce nodded.

"Fuck man, you look great!"

There was silence amongst the whole team. Bruce thought of what to say, but he didn't know how Led would respond.

"Mel would believe me."

"Oh yeah, how about go and ask her, oh wait, you can't because SHE'S DEAD BRUCE! MEL IS GONE, SHE'S NOT COMING BACK! WE'LL NEVER KNOW WHAT SHE WOULD ACTUALLY THINK!"

He screamed. His last words were so loud that they echoed, making everyone fall silent. He took a deep breath as he tried to calm himself down.

"I'm going for a piss, I'll be back soon."

"Going for a what?"

Diane asked with interest as Led walked into the trees.

"Follow him and you die!"

Mr. Fisk whispered, keeping her at ease.

Bruce walked back to the tree he laid by, in a sulk. To everyone's surprise, Shauna was brave enough to approach the sad Shark.

"I-I believe you."

Bruce looked into the eyes of the girl and quietly exhaled.

"You believe me?"

He asked to which she nodded, making him feel better.

"New friend?"

From her social skills, it was easy to suggest that Shauna had little to no friends, so Bruce asking her made an impression on her.

"S-Sure!"

She replied before offering her hand. Bruce grabbed onto it with his left fin. The two shook hands whilst Shauna began giggling.

"Well I be dammed, Bright-Light can actually smile..."

Mr. Fisk whispered to himself. To him, this moment alone was the most positive moment of the entire trip, everything else to him had been completely awful.

T H E N E X T M O R N I N G . . .

Mr. Fisk was the last of the group to wake up. When he did, he was surprised to see the group either talking quietly amongst themselves or just not talking at all. He noticed that Carson was sweating an awful lot, but decided not to comment much on it.

"Morning. It's nice to see that you lot didn't kill each other overnight, that's a miracle on its own merit."

He greeted as he climbed out of his bed. He still wore his gear in bed.

"Everyone, I need you all to find that same button you used to activate the bed and press it. That should decrease the size back to normal, like this."

Mr. Fisk pressed the button, his bed began to fold on its own, the sheet was sucked back inside the bed as it folded back into its small rectangular shape. Everyone did the same and handed theirs back, except Bruce as he didn't need it, plus his had been broken.

Led put his jacket back on after using it as an extra blanket during the night. Now, everyone was set. Mr. Fisk looked at the whole group, needing their attention.

"Okay, let's go now, no more sloppiness, understood?"

All of a sudden, Carson bent down and began throwing up. At the same time, he had an accident in his pants, stinking up the whole camp. Knowing what was going on, Mr. Fisk led Carson to a nearby bush so he could do his business. He was suffering from chronic diarrhea and the waste he let out was pure liquid. He let out a quiet moan of pain as he held onto his stomach.

"Could the asshole have not waited before doing that?!"

Bee asked, holding their nose before noticing his stained pants. They laughed.

"Hahaha! My mans just squit himself!"

"He can't help it! It's an illness he has."

Mr. Fisk tried to explain to them before looking back to Carson, he seemed to have cooled down and the diarrhea had calmed down.

"You good?"

"Yeah..."

He replied whilst sighing deeply. With a heavy heart, he pulled his pants back up, making him feel uncomfortable.

"Okay, now that he's done, is everyone ready?"

Mr. Fisk asked.

"Can I just ask one question? Why did you have to choose us specifically?"

Bee asked out of the blue.

"You could've chosen anyone else but you had to choose us six specifically. One has a piss fetish, one is crying almost all the time, and one says some...Questionable things, one is hypersensitive and the other is a fucking Shark!"

"You were chosen because of your skills and abilities, and the previous team got wiped."

He answered, still not satisfying Bee.

"You could've gone to anyone?!"

Bee exclaimed before they began what was the start of the longest, and most annoying conversation that Mr. Fisk had ever endured in his life.

"What about Pearl Houzuki or Marina Ida?"

"What?!"

Mr. Fisk confusingly asked. However, Bee was not yet done.

"Annie and Mo? Murch? Mizuta Ahato? The drummer guy from Damp Socks? Ink Theory? The Chirpy Chips?"

Bee went on.

"Okay...Come on!"

He whispered to the rest of the team as the journey continued. Walking first was Mr. Fisk, then Bee running behind him, followed by Led, Diane, Bruce, and lastly, Shauna and Carson.

"I'm not done yet, asshole!"

Bee screamed as they began to drop more names to the dismay of not just Mr. Fisk but everyone else.

T H E F I R S T D A Y . . .

In the same order that they started in, the team walked by a swampy lake. Everyone hated the smell of it, except for Diane who felt pleasant about it. Any chance at peace and silence was ruined by Bee continuously yelling random names at Mr. Fisk.

"What about Shiver and Fyre from Deep Cut, huh? Did you even ask them? Or what about Big Man? Or the Squid Sisters? Or, I don't know, Spyke? Jelonzo? Jelfonzo? Harmony Paruko? Gnarly Eddy?"

"How long are you gonna go-"

Mr. Fisk asked whilst Bee kept name-dropping, only to get cut off.

"Shut the fuck up and listen! I'm giving you a whole list of people you could've gone to!"

They shouted before immediately continuing.

"Jel Le Fleur? Mr. Coco? Anyone of the fucking Squid Squad? Rex Allen? Frederick Evans?"

"Frederick Evans is fucking dead!"

Mr. Fisk exclaimed.

"And as for Rex Allen, we tried him but he never returned our calls!"

As Bee continued to name, the entire team were becoming more and more done with them. Led contemplated throwing himself into the swamp lake, a feeling that Carson felt too often. Shauna's face was drenched with tears as she held her ears shut. And lastly, Diane was the only one walking normally, focusing on the noises that the water made. Bruce wasn't taking in anything that they were saying.

T H E S E C O N D E V E N I N G . . .

The team crossed a small cliffside. They were able to look at the wonderful view of the trees, which were illuminated by the orange sky. Unfortunately for them, they still had to put up with Bee shouting random names.

"Madeline Augusta? Teri Inkresha? Fucking Mina Lukana?! Capri Swanne? Malachai and Roman Eidley? Astra Lation? Raine Centara? Gavin Cypress? Coral and Ria. F from Sirens Flow? LukeThePheonix? AnnaRobaji? JJ Plum? FuriousCorgi? Crusty Sean? Sheldon? NomadTheKnight? What the fuck man?!"

At that point, Bee had already listed so many names that Mr. Fisk had to question whether or not those names were legit.

"Okay, that last one isn't even a thing!"

T H E T H I R D M O R N I N G . . .

At last, the team had arrived at their destination. Unfortunately, Bee kept going on.

"What about Bailey Ravize? Fleur Talirin? Leon Wright? Moray Waller? Cookie Five-Two-Two-Eight? Cookies 'n Cream-"

They rambled before Mr. Fisk turned around and covered their mouth, silencing them.

"Shut the fuck up!"

He hissed before pointing forward at the camp before them. The whole team walked and crouched by the edge, with Bruce hiding behind a tree to blend in, but failing.

Down below was a small camp with circular huts on the walls on the camp's edges. In the center were shelters were six sleep racks, three on each side. At the back, up a small hill was a cabin with a watch tower to its left. All across the village were barrels of Acid. On the right side was a small pond.

The team all hid behind the ramp. Mr. Fisk went into his back and took out a steal axe with a rope. He put the rope around his fingers, attaching the axe to him. After, he got out a shotgun and began to add attachments to it, including a scope, a second, bigger barrel, and an ink tank strap in case additional ammo was needed.

"Look at all those handsome young men! If only I can-"

Diane gushed, watching the Acid Squids walk about and talk before getting snapped back into reality.

"Flamethrower, focus! Their acid could melt you if you're not careful!"

Mr. Fisk quietly exclaimed.

"That goes for you all too, well everyone but you, Hammerhead."

Bruce was too busy trying to hide his body behind the flat palm tree that he didn't hear Mr. Fisk call him. Mr. Fisk checked his smartwatch to check Sargent Gunn's whereabouts. That was it, he was at the cabin at the very end.

"He's in there. We just have to find a way to get in, and luckily, I already have a plan?"

"Already?!"

Bee asked.

"Damn! That was quick."

"If the plan involves a sacrifice, I'd happily volunteer..."

Carson muttered.

"No! What the fuck is wrong with you? We aren't sacrificing anyone, and that is final!"

Mr. Fisk replied quickly, causing Carson to let out a sigh, whether that be a sigh of relief or disappointment was up in the air, though it was more than likely the latter option. Mr. Fisk glanced at the Camp and saw three men at the front, one on the left and two on the right. He looked on to see most of the others chilling in their huts or sleeping in the racks.

"Okay, first we take out the three at the front, the rest are either sleeping or at the back. We'll roll an empty barrel over to that first guy on the left, Bright-Light you have to pay attention because this is where you come in. You'll inside the barrel and will blind the guy."

"O-Oh..."

Shauna whimpered. She got emotional just thinking about how cramped the barrel would be.

"D-D-Do I-I have to g-g-go in?"

"I don't know, do you want to live?"

He asked. Shauna whimpered in fear, mentally preparing herself for the closed-in space of the barrel. Mr. Fisk turned to Bruce, now ready to give him orders, but became frustrated to see that Bruce still wasn't paying attention.

"Oy! Hammerhead!"

Led nudged Bruce, finally waking him up.

"Bruce, Mr. Fisk is trying to speak with you!"

At last, Bruce finally began to pay attention. He looked at the leader and was ready to follow orders.

"You see that Acid Squid over there? The one that's standing by the barrel."

He asked whilst pointing directly to the Acid Squid standing in front of the pond with a barrel next to him. Bruce looked back and forth and nodded.

"Gobble that guy up and take the barrel. Make sure to empty it first!"

Bruce nodded again. He began to sneak his way toward the Acid Squid, making sure to stay within the pine trees to not be seen by anyone. Once behind, he picked up the Acid Squid, and before he had the chance to scream for help...

C H O M P ! ! !

Parts of his body were already devoured by the mighty Shark. To Bruce, the Acid blood only tasted different, like a new flavor of drink. Shortly afterward, he turned his attention to the Acid-filled barrel. He wanted more of that peculiar flavor. Without hesitation, he lifted the barrel and drank what was inside of it, concerning all of his comrades that watched.

In a flash, Bruce returned to his team with the empty barrel.

"That was not the approach I was expecting, like at all, but at least you're fine."

Mr. Fisk commented as the barrel was placed down. He turned to Shauna.

"Get in. I promise it'll be over shortly."

The Octoling girl's whole body quivered as she stepped towards the barrel, looking down into it to see the limited room she had in it. She gulped as tears streamed down her cheeks before climbing inside, her body facing upward with her arms pointed at the lid.

"Once the barrel is there and opened, I'll come in and take care of the guy on the left. Volteer, Razor-Quill, and Flamethrower, you take care of the other Acid Squids, I'll be behind you if needed. Hammerhead, keep sneaking and munching."

He commanded before turning to Carson, who still hadn't been given an order.

"Elongate...I honestly don't know, just make yourself useful."

"On the sidelines, again...I've never felt so dead inside..."

He uttered miserably with his head down.

Mr. Fisk ignored his seemingly petty comments before setting the plan into motion.

"Everyone, move out. You three, wait for my signal."

He told Led, Bee and Diane as he and Carson walked off whilst rolling Shauna's barrel. Bruce walked into the trees to try and sneak up on someone else.

Shauna's barrel was pushed by Mr. Fisk into the village. As it rolled, we backed away out of sight. The one Acid Squid on the left saw the barrel and stopped it by tapping it with his foot. He lifted it upright and finally, opened it.

The Acid Squid was instantly blinded by Shauna's blinding lights, she too had to squint her eyes from the brightness. Now that he was open, Mr. Fisk emerged from the pathway entrance and swung his axe around before chucking it at the Acid Squid.

The axe was embedded into his frontal lobe with blood itching out from the wound. Using the rope attached to both his and the axe, he yanked the rope back, forcing the axe out of the Acid Squid. He rushed over to him with his axe in hand.

S L I C E ! ! !

Aiming for the nose, Mr. Fisk split the Acid Squids head into thirds as he cut through it. Blood spat out of what remained of the head and brains spilled from the chunks of the head. He turned to his right to see the two on the far right preparing to fire at him and Shauna, only to get stopped by the team.

W H O O S H ! ! !

Z A P ! ! !

The first one was taken care of by Diane, who grabbed onto the Acid Squid's head and burnt it before having to let go due to the toxic blood pouring out of the burnt flesh. The second was taken care Led who shocked her from behind, popping her eyes like a balloon. Mr. Fisk nodded at them before he, Shauna, and now Carson remained together, with Carson helping Shauna out of the barrel.

Led, Diane and Bee walked to the sleeping racks, with the first of the three already thinking of a plan.

"You go left, I'll go right."

He said to Diane, who already began running to the left racks. He then turned to Bee.

"You go on top, I'll help you up."

"Since when did you become to leader?"

They asked him sarcastically.

"Just listen to me, for once!"

He replied as they arrived at the racks.

"Alright, alright!"

They replied before Led picked them up and helped them get onto the roof.

Whilst Diane and Led both burnt and electrocuted everyone in their sleep, with their agonizing screams alerting everyone within the camp, Bee was at the top as a silent killer, taking down anyone who dared to cross them.

The first one that they shot spikes at caused the Acid Squid woman on the left to go into shock, making her fall onto her back and choke to death on her own vomit. The next one went to a male Acid Squid on the right, the effects were gruesome, his skin and body slowly began to melt. In the end, all that was left was a large puddle of blood and melted organs. Bee had to turn around for the final one, they hit an Acid Squid in his throat. For the first couple of seconds, it seemed clean and harmless, it looked as if nothing could go wrong...

B O O M ! ! !

His body self-imploded and body parts were scattered everywhere. Within the implosion was a large mist of blood. Now, with the ones on the sidelines out the way, thanks to Bee and some from Mr. Fisk and Bruce, all that was left now were the ones in the center and the watch tower.

Bee jumped down and ed Led and Diane in the center as they teamed up to take down more of the Acid Squids. Mr. Fisk ed them in the center and began shooting some down. However, something was bound to go wrong, and it did.

Diane spun around whilst blasting flames at the Acid Squids. Out of the blue, the flames caught onto her hair and began burning her. Everyone on the battlefield stopped what they were doing as Diane ran around, screaming in pain. Diane quickly stopped to look around to find something to put out the fires. Fortunately, she did find something. Unfortunately, to her lack of knowledge, it was a barrel.

"Flamethrower, no! That'll kill-"

Mr. Fisk tried to call out, but it was too late...

S P L A S H ! ! !

Within seconds of putting her head into the barrel, her face was melted off and she was dead in an instant. Her body flopped. Both shocked and disappointed, Mr. Fisk face palmed before walking over to her body, putting out the fire, and lifting the back of her head.

Diane's eyeballs, or what was left of them, fell out of their sockets and into the Acid. Her face was now mushy and damp.

"General, are you seeing this?"

Back at the base, General Swannack was face-palming, he too couldn't believe the utter stupidity that went through Diane's head as she made that quick decision. He opened the box, this time having the new team's headshots inside. He grayed out Diane's photo.

Back on the battlefield, Mr. Fisk turned around to see him surrounded by Acid Squids whilst Led and Bee were busy fighting their lot. However, just as they prepared to fire, Bruce jumped out from one of the huts, grabbed all five of them, and ripped them all in half. All their intestines flopped out alongside a waterfall of blood. Bruce was quick to gobble them up.

Emerging from the pond behind them were six more Acid Squids, each sharing the same pissed-off face. They growled as their bodies came out of the water.

Z A P ! ! !

Wanting to end them quickly, Led walked up to the water before striking at it with electricity. With the water now conducting the electricity, all the Acid Squids in the water were struck and killed. They all fell back and their bodies were torn apart by the electricity.

"Show off..."

Bee whispered. Not saying a word, Led rolled his eyes.

Shauna and Carson finally entered the center now that the Acid Squids were taken care of. Now assembled again, though they were now missing one member, the team pushed forwards toward the cabin. Along the way, they were quick to notice a single Acid Squid carrying a plate with a sandwich on it. He seemed to not be aware of the carnage that had just unfolded. Maybe he was deaf? Either, he had to be taken care of.

Grabbing another gun from his bag, Mr. Fisk shot a small, flat circle into the sandwich, it blended in almost instantly.

"Did he just shoot a fucking sandwich?!"

Bee asked. Everyone else looked at Mr. Fisk with confused looks, with none of them able to understand what he had just done.

"Wait for it..."

He whispered, stretching out the last word as he witnessed the Acid Squid devour the sandwich. After nearly half a minute, he made his move, holding onto a button with his left hand. At last, he pressed it.

"Now!"

B O O M ! ! !

His stomach burst open like a water balloon, with blood and guts flying out, alongside his lungs and heart. All that was left was a mangled, pale, bloodied body.

Mr. Fisk had a small smirk on his face, contrasting with the shocked faces of Led, Bruce, and Carson and the disgusted faces of Bee and Shauna.

"Come on!"

He said to the team before walking towards the cabin, followed by Led, then Bee, Bruce, and both Shauna and Carson, with the last two on the right of the group.

Upon reaching the cabin, Mr. Fisk noticed Acid Squids aiming down at the watch tower. One took their shot and hit the ground just next to Mr. Fisk's right foot.

"Watch tower!"

He alerted the team. He expected either Led or Bruce to go in and sort them out but instead, Carson stepped forward and reached out his right hand, with another, larger right hand flying out of the gadget on his hand and hovered over the watch tower.

S M A S H , S M A S H , S M A S H ! ! !

S M A S H , S M A S H , S M A S H ! ! !

S M A S H , S M A S H , S M A S H ! ! !

He smacked the Watch tower down, destroying everyone and everything inside. Even after it was destroyed, he kept on smashing it for what felt like forever, he even let out a large scream. After almost half a minute of smashing, he finally settled.

"Well...You certainly did make yourself useful..."

Mr. Fisk muttered. Carson turned to his stunned team as his now bloodied large hand returned to the gadget in his hand.

As the team walked off, Shauna waited for him.

"T-That was cool. Scary, but cool..."

"Thanks, I guess..."

Carson replied.

Finally, after all the bloodshed and death, they reached the cabin. It only took the life of one of them but at least they were finally able to open the curtain into the building and...Not get shot at, how could this be?

There were only three Acid Squids inside, two of them were helping out Sargent Gunn, who was laying in a medical bed, and the third had a charged weapon ready to go.

"Hey! Don't shoot him! He's an ally!"

The Sargent assured the Acid Squid, putting him at ease until Bruce crashed his head through the window to the right of the entrance, making him nervous again.

"No! He's an ally too! He's a Shark, but he's also a good one, I think, I hope!"

Mr. Fisk looked at the Sargent whilst lowering his weapon. The pair greeted each other in the only way that seemed fitting.

"Jacob..."

"Vince..."

The good Sargent replied before feeling the need to introduce the three Acid Squids.

"These three here are helping me get back into shape. They found me after I escaped the hostile group, they were easy to escape, all I had to do was run away and blend in. Forgive the charger over there, he's just trying to look out for the civilians."

"Civilians? There are civilians here?"

Mr. Fisk asked. Shauna covered her mouth in shock, able to pick up on it almost instantly.

"Yeah, they're outside. It's morning so you probably saw them in sleeping racks, though the sound of the watch tower falling must've woken someone up."

He told him. Every mouth on the team dropped upon realizing what they had just done. Sargent Gunn began to pick up on it.

"Vince, what did you do?"

"The General's orders were to rescue you and take out anyone in the way and-"

Mr. Fisk began to answer until getting cut off by Carson.

"We burnt, electrocuted, blew up, and squashed everyone in the most brutal way possible..."

He whispered with no emotion whatsoever.

Sargent Gunn hid his face in his palms and sighed.

"Jacob, I'm sorry for the inconvenience, but-"

"No, Vince...It was a misinterpretation, I don't exactly blame you, but still..."

Sargent Gunn muttered.

"Dammit, Vince!"

3 0 M I N U T E S L A T E R . . .

After a long talk inside the medical cabin, the team walked back outside to look at the damage that was done. The three remaining Acid Squids began to tidy up the place and get rid of the bodies.

Whilst the team bickered amongst themselves, Mr. Fisk and Sargent Gunn spoke to each other, all whilst the remaining Acid Squids tried to rebuild the watch tower.

"I'm glad we found you sooner, Jacob. I don't know how much longer I could've put with them. They're..."

He said, glancing at the team to see Led slapping Bee's hand away, who tried to touch his shoulder, Bruce staring into space, and both Shauna and Carson talking to each other about what had just gone on.

"Fucking idiots..."

"Lost anyone yet, Vince?"

Jacob asked.

"We just lost one during the fight, her hair was lit ablaze and she slammed her head inside of an acid barrel to put herself out, don't ask why, I don't know either."

Vincent answered.

"There is no point in asking you about your team because, you know..."

"Yeah, I know. Just learn to be patient with them, I'll be there too if help is needed."

He assured his friend. He then pointed to Led.

"How's he been holding up?"

"Struggling after the loss of, I think his girlfriend, he speaks very highly of her. Melissa, right?"

Vincent asked.

"Yeah, her. Poor girl, shouldn't have gone out like that."

Jacob replied.

Suddenly, all conversations ended upon hearing smashing coming from the cabin.

"Someone's inside!"

Mr. Fisk said before turning to the rest of the team.

"Move out!"

Sargent Gunn, Mr. Fisk, and Led ran forward, and most of the team followed behind, except Bruce who had to stay outside due to his height. Upon entering, they turned left and looked across the room and saw a young Inkling woman standing over the beds.

They shined their light at the woman to reveal her look. She was pale. She had deep purple, plaited hair and wore a black suit with purple stripes. Led was quick to pick up that it wasn't just any Inkling woman...

"Mel?"

He called out in disbelief.

"L-Led?"

Melissa Sabrina replied.

Without hesitation, Led dashed to Melissa and hugged her tightly, holding back tears.

"I-I thought I lost you!"

He exclaimed before he pulled out of the hug upon noticing her uneasiness. He noticed the shot wound in her chest.

"She needs help! Is there a medic!"

"I can help!"

Mr. Fisk replied, rushing over to the pair of them.

"You might want to get out for this!"

"No! I'm not leaving her, not again!"

Led exclaimed.

Not wanting to argue back at a crucial moment, he gave in.

"Ugh! Alright, you can stay!"

Mr. Fisk said before looking at Sargent Gunn.

"Jacob, get the rest out!"

As the Sargent led the rest of the team out of the building, Melissa was placed onto a bed, with Led by her side, holding her hand as questions began rolling in his head. How could she have survived such a fatal blow? Was she going to make it?
