alrighty so ya girl has had niall’s album on repeat (is that a surprise?), and she’s been ~realizing~ some stuff.

buckle up my dudes we’re going on a little road tip :sunglasses:

i realized that each of the songs are somehow intertwined, and if you rearrange the songs in a certain order, they create a story.

as for the song order, here’s what i think.

mirrors

since we’re alone

you and me

the tide

slow hands

seeing blind

paper houses

too much to ask

fire away

flicker

this town

on my own

on the loose

from listening to the album, it seems like that niall is telling a story of how he meets this one girl who he thinks will be the love of his life. he’s willing to to be wholly dedicated to her, and he is willing to do anything.

their relationship seems to hit off well, and they manage to have many good days. however, it seems like something happens, and it makes everything fall apart.

however, their relationship seems to come back for a brief time, and then niall suffers another heart break. niall reminisces all the the times when they were happy as anything and not having a care in the world. despite the agony, niall remains hopeful that she’ll come back once and for all.

that hopelessness fades into almost a “nothing really matters” and an “i don’t care” sort of phase. niall’s single now, and he’s starting to see other girls. for all we know, he could be just be afraid of love and refuses to get together after what happened earlier.

at the very end of the story, he warns everyone about this girl who deceived him not only once, but twice.
