The Order of The Leviathan | The Atbash AU

Date: June 8th 2017 - 9 AM

TV: "Watch out North Hills! Because at a 110 degrees - We're looking at the hottest day of the summer!" The twins, Mike and Wheatley are in the living room watching the TV all in their individual places. Mike - sitting near the vent is trying to make it work. Mike: "Kids, if I don't make it out alive - call your parents." Mark: "..You wish.. all the phone's are in the freezer or else they'd overheat." Mason: "..all in favor on staying inside today say aye - or something." Mark & Mike: "Aye!" Wheatley is rolling from side to side. Clearly agreeing.

TV: "As so it would be - the beach has been opened by authorities!" Mike: "Beach?" Mark: "Opened?" Mason: "Are you thinking what I'm thinking?" Mark and Mike nod in understanding. Mike to the freezer to get a bag of party ice. "Unless you want to sit in a car that's literally hot as a furnace, if you catch my drift." Mike comments before opening the door. A scream is heard as Mike closes in on the car. "MY EYES!"

After a few minutes of preparation, the Orion family - plus one hairy dog named Wheatley are in the car, getting ready for well earned day on the beach. The twins talk in hush tones in the back - Mike and Wheatley sit at the front, absorbing all heat coming their way. Mark: "What do you think we'll see this time? A sand monster? An octopus with eight eyes?" Mason: "Dude, I've got a better idea. The town myths tell of a strange stone cuboid near the coast line, right next to the beach! If we can get there, who knows what could be waiting for us!"

As they arrive to the beach, they see very little people.. "I don't get it. Where are all the people?" Mike: "You two haven't heard? The town closed the beach for a good reason. People kept seeing a big fish in the lake, so the police closed the lake under the impression of sharks." Mark: "Sharks live in the sea!" Mason: "Eh, what can I say? People are superstitious and blind." Mason: "Psst, Mark. We have to go now, if we reach the place in time - maybe we can stay in the shade if we don't find anything." Mark: "Uhh, Uncle Mike! We're gonna go and find some ice cream.. you can just - stay here." Mike: "I don't think I have anything better to do.." Mason grabs his backpack and the two start walking their way across the coastline.

Mason and Mark have been walking for a rough 10 minutes. "I don't like sand." Mason says with a tired voice. Mark: "I don't think I like sand either.." they reach the beginning of the forest and notice a giant stone cube behind some rough bushes. Mason gasps: "The Aquatic Entrance Cube." Mark: "The what now?" Mason shows Mark the journal article about the cube. Mark (reading): "The cube is about thirty inches taller than an average adult human. Could this be a chamber of some kind?" Mason: "What do you think is inside?" Mark: "Well, the name points out it's an entry point.. I think there's more info on the next page - but it's.. stuck on the other page. I can try to get it out later.." Mason notices a small stone button sticking out of the cube. "I wonder-" Mason presses the button. A door slides open from the stone - so hidden you can't even see the hinges. Mason: "We're in." Mark: "Look, this has to be an elevator. Only three floors? Really?" Mason notices the labels on the side of the buttons. "Surface, Observation and.. Altar?" Mark presses the Altar labeled button: "Unexpected button press!" Mason: "Mark! We don't know where we're going! It might be a trap!" Mark: "Eh, a trap or not - I'm sure it's fine."

They arrive into a mysterious room with symbols written in the walls in red paint. Mason (whispering): "What is this place..?" They hide behind a pillar when suddenly noticing hooded figures surrounding a strange altar with a giant shark like tooth. Society Member: "It is seen. We have all seen it, it is coming. The great darkness is coming." Society Member 2: "A man entering from another world. A titan coming allying with the man. It is seen." Mason (whispering): "We should get out of here." Society Member 3: "Introders!" Society Member: "Get them!" Meanwhile at the beach. Wheatley to Mike: "Well, those kids sure a piece of work." Mike: "Eh, I guess. They might seem a little..?" Wheatley: "Annoying?" Mike: "Why are they annoying?" Wheatley: "Four-eyes tried to put a beanie on my head. I find it concerning." Mike: "Listen, Wheat! Those two are good kids! And they have names, you know?" Wheatley: "We were supposed to be at work." Mike: "I can't really sneak out of here, even if I wanted to. The kids would get suspicious." Wheatley: "They're probably dead for all I care!" Mike: "Listen, where ever those kids are - I'm sure they're just fine!"

Mason and Mark and tied together, literally. Society Member: "You are intruders in our church!" Mason: "Church? What are you talking about, what are you worshipping?" Mark: "Yeah! Also, let us go! You freaks!" Society Member: "Silence! We worship the future and the greatest of beasts! The CORNFALL LEVIATHAN!" Mason: "Say what?" The Society Member lowers her hood, revealing to be an old woman.

"I am Cass! The leader of the Order of The Leviathan!" Mason: "But.. what is The Cornfall Leviathan?" Cass: "The Cornfall Leviathan is the creature that lives in the lake! It is very intelligent and can see the future! Long ago, the leviathan tooth was stolen, which we have used to see into the future! We have predicted the end of our world, and all the threats to eventually to come to it! We have even seen the fall of the seven titans in different universes! We are the infinite seers of time!" Mark: "Well, if you let us go.." Cass: "I'm afraid that's not possible! You're going to stay down here - FOREVER!" Mason and Mark gasp. Cass: "Oh, do not worry - we have plenty of rations to supply us for tens of years! And if we ever run out, we'll just take a little trip to the mall!" Cass hysterically laughs with the other society as they all get into the elevator. Mason: "Whave to get out of here, Mark! I don't want to live the rest of my life in a society hideout!" Mark: "Oh, we'll get out. Where's your backpack?" Mason: "It's on the altar, over there. Why?" Mark: "I brought a pocketknife with me! If we get that backpack - we'll be golden." Mason: "They kind of tied us to a pillar.." Mark: "It's okay, I'll just stand up and go get it." Mark stands up and walks over to the backpack. Mason: "WAIT, YOU STOOD UP? HOW?" Mason: "The cultists aren't very good with tying knots.." Mark releases Mason.

Mason gets his backpack and they head to the elevator. Mason: "Those guys are probably at the observatory. Maybe we can finally get a glimpse of that leviathan-thing!" Mark: "Whoa, whoa! We needed to get the heck out of here! I'm not staying in here with those freaks!" Mason: "It's what we came here for!" They press the observatory button. Mark: "I think this is a bad idea." Mason: "Hush!" The observatory is roughly bigger room, about twenty feet below the surface layer, it has a giant window open to the bottom of the lake. Something big roams in the bottom. The Cornfall Leviathan. Mason (whispering): "Holy mackerel! That's it!" The Cornfall Leviathan seems to have noticed the presence of two extra individuals, Mason and Mark. It turns to the window, looking at the cultists. Then slowly starting to pick up some speed. Society Member 3: "This glass is bullet proof, right?" Cass: "Actually its bullet resistant." Society Member 3: "Its not going to ram us, is it?" Cass: "That creature might do anything to get its tooth back." Mason (whispering): "Did you hear that? We have to run." Mason and Mark run to the elevator, pressing thesurfacebutton." The other society rush to the elevator, banging the elevator doors. Cass stands and watches the Leviathan, as it closes in. Cass: "Looks like our little club is going to get disbanded." The Leviathan swims fast into the glass. Breaking it. The twins are on the surface. Mark: "Mason?! What do you think happened to the cultists?!" The Leviathan rises from the lake, with the society on its back. Cass: "You two did this! The only reason the Leviathan didn't destroy us is because it wants it tooth back! But we will get you two! Some day! Just you wait!" Cass threatens them as the Leviathan swims to the other side of the lake. The twins start walking back to the beach. "That was one heck of an adventure." Mason states. Mark: "Let's just go back to Mike and never of this again." Mason: "Agreed!" A short 15 minute walk back to the beach later. Mike is waiting near the exit with Wheatley. Everyone on the beach are gone. Mason: "Uncle Mike? What happened? Where dideveryone go?" Mike: "Didn't you hear? They're closing the beach down, again! A swimmer saw a massive shark in the lake! And where have you two been!" Mason: "We went to get ice cream and then we met a few people, and we talked to them for a a bit." Mike: "Well, come on! The car is probably burning from the inside in all this heat! Luckily we didn't have to leave during mid-day! That would have been painful.." They walk back to the car and drive off.

Later, 9 PM. Mike and Wheatley lower down from the garden shed elevator again. Mike: "Are we almost finished?" Wheatley: "A few finishing touches, and the gateway is complete." They lower down, and walk past a room labeled 'study'. Mike: "The fuel is in place?" Wheatley: "Everything is as it's supposed to be. Nothing can stop the completion now." They walk into the room labeled 'Gateway' it's a small room filled with all kinds of screens and a shelfs with some gadgets, control desks and keyboards. Wheatley and Mike stare at the Gateway, both confident.
